Steven James Pemberton is an English actor, comedian and writer, best known as a member of The League of Gentlemen with Reece Shearsmith, Mark Gatiss, and Jeremy Dyson. Pemberton and Shearsmith also co-wrote and appeared in the sitcom Psychoville and the comedy-drama Inside No. 9. His other television credits include Doctor Who, Benidorm, Blackpool, Shameless, Whitechapel, Happy Valley and Mapp and Lucia.

This was the second of a three part release and follows the same format as the previous volume; a foreword that gives some insight into the writing of each script, followed by the scripts themselves.

I particularly loved reading The 12 Days of Christine as a script, which I knew I would. It’s my favourite Inside No 9 of all time so to read the script itself, especially with the foreword commentary, was a treat.

As with the first series of scripts, I’m definitely of the opinion that you need to have seen the episodes before you read - it makes the reading a much more immersive experience.
