Rosemary really gave great insight to the importance of understanding yourself and others. Understanding yourself enough to be confident in who you are regardless of others opinions, and being understanding and having empathy for others. To have compassion and extend grace to those we may have disagreements with. I think the world would be a better place if we all lived by these principles. Rosemary challenges us to really consider how we relate to people and urges us to be more understanding of others. I really enjoyed this book. Would definitely recommend.

As a trainee counsellor, I thought this book would suit very well in high schools as part of the curriculum. It gave a really informative and easy to read document that young adults could relate to and reflect upon in their own lives. This book reinforced everything I already knew but allowed me to show where I could use it and put it into practice.
This is a very thought-provoking book. It taught me a lot about relationships. Most importantly, I learned about true “understanding” and how important it is to everyday life. Relationships with others require good communication and mutual understanding; they don’t just exist and last forever. However, self-understanding is extremely crucial as well. The book is clear and straightforward in expressing all its ideas. It does not linger too much on one topic, either. I found myself enjoying it quite a lot, and through it, I saw that understanding is truly underestimated. Recommended for anyone who wants some valuable life advice!
Unlocking doors! I enjoyed this book, as I believe understanding goes hand in hand with communication. One can communicate all day long, but if there is no understanding, the communication is lost. The author makes many salient points in regards to relationships, especially friendships with relatable examples. As a firm believer in lifelong learning, this book made me reflect and consider my actions, which is always useful in striving for personal growth.
Great book to make you think of how you relate to people and how you even relate to yourself. Do you really know yourself as a person? Do you really know and understand how to navigate relationships? Also, encourages the importance of having patience and grace to others. Great read.
