Section 8 To Mansion Gates

Philly - At the age of 18 Kennedy already had two kids by a grown man that acted more like a little boy. Teddy was worst than a deadbeat and so was his stupid a$$ mammy. What kind of man would have his kids calling him uncle. Bianca was a good friend to Kennedy. She wanted to see her do better and have better. Meeting Reese was like a dream come true. He showed her how a real man was suppose to treat his woman. He supported her goals and helped her reach them. They made each other better versions of themselves.❤❤
Charlotte - Hareem is the devil's son in law. He was pure evil. Not only was he abusive to Nolani and a deadbeat to his child but what he did to his twin sister was horrific. Someone needed to molly whop Adwin's mama. Wanna call somebody a hood rat when she was an undercover thot. Adwin is the happiness that Lani needed and deserved. Not only did he put her in a better position to get her bag, he helped her accomplish her dreams making her millionaire in her own right.💛💛
Houston - Jade and her seven spawns of Satan would have gotten fed rat poison in their sleep. They way she treated and allowed Olivia and Olive to be treated after they lost their parents in a helicopter crash on Christmas was so wrong. They were only 12 and 10 years old. I'm glad they got away but ain't no telling what Petey had planned for them, and thanks to 10yr old Demetri they never had to find out. All they had was each other. They got it out the mud together. I knew it was something about Toya and D almost risked losing the love of his life, Olive behind a hoe who was sent to set him up. I bet he learned his lesson. I'm glad Olivia and Olive was reunited with Oliver. 💟💟
Memphis - The Hampton Brothers found the women of their dreams. Jazz, a single mother of a 8 year old son, would do any thing to make sure her son had everything he needed, even boosting. Aaron only came around when it was convenient for him. Coach Hamp seen Jazz and knew she would be his. His baby mama Drea was worst than a deadbeat dad. DK had trust issues because of his ex Britain who had a whole secret family. But when he met Jai he had no problem making her his. Britain just didn't seem to get the memo. I bet she got it when Jai put them paws on her. Pat and Miya had been best friends for years even tho they secretly loved each other. An unexpected kiss almost tore their friendship apart and the fact that Pat avoided her after. What broke her heart the most was that he was still messing with Chanel the gold digger. I was glad when they finally got together but was sad when Chanel and her friend jumped her and she loss her baby. Pat put her to sleep right along with his baby. Now they have a son and twin daughters on the way.💌💌 These ladies did an outstanding job with these books. Even though it was grammar errors, wrong word use and mix ups it still didn't take away from the stories.💕💕

Awesome stories

Philly

Ok Kennedy, I see you! Teddy was getting on my nerves. Him and his stupid mammy. Im glad, she didn't let her circumstances trap her into being a product of her environment. She set goals and hit them one by one. Her mother's tragic death, her alcoholic dad and non existent family made her want to be better. Bianca was a true friend. Nicki just ughhhh. Boone, I have no words for. Im glad Reese came along and showed her what true love is and how a Queen should be treated.

Charlotte
Love ALWAYS wins! Whew, I'm glad Hareem was gone! He was doing way too much for his own good. I loved Camari and Nolani friendship. Through it all, they never left each other side. Adwin's mother was a witch straight from hell. All the dirt she did, she should have been the most humble of them all. Oh Ms. Ethel! I wished she had lived to see Nolani marry Adwin. All around wins. Awesome read

Houston

Love, love, loveeeee! Interesting how Olive and Olivia went from having everything to get it all snatched away in the blink of an eye. Jerry old nasty tale. He needed to die; him and Jade both. Getting it out the mud, I wa happy to see they stuck together. I knew Taz loved Olive but I never thought after them growing up as family, they would experience dating. I think Taz was a typical man. Not excusing what he did, his status grew and the rats flocked to him. My eyes sure were teary when Olive and Oliver reconnected. When he came back, it was like the puzzle was complete and Olive finally got her happily ever after!

Memphis

I can't stand deadbeat niccas. They be making these kids and dipping when the mother don't want them. I hated how Jazz got her money but only who feels it knows it and in those moments, it was making sure Jayce ate. I loved how all the brothers got their love life stable despite all the mess with exes and baby mamas. Aaron real low. Hell he done was cheating then wanted to play crazy. He lucky they let him live another day. Chanel signed her own death certificate. She had to go anyway cuz she was doing way too much. 4 fire stories that told the tale of going from section 8 to mansion gates! Loveeee it

Started At The Bottom Moving To The Top!

Houston Edition By Shaunn Aryande
Man, I was all in my feelings with this one. I know it was fiction, but I know some of our young black boys have lived the life Demetri lived. His journey started at 9 yrs old and the path he had to go through was not easy.
There was a family the Price that was a humble wealthy family that a terrible thing happened and left the daughter's alone without anyone. They meet an aunt they never met before, she just wanted them for a meal ticket. They got away from her and ended in Houston where his mom always said her best friend Dee was there.
The girls got there and met Petey, a dog man who wanted Olivia for his self. He had Demetri for years and turned him into his slave. Demetri met the sister's after Petey tried to have his way. Demetri, Olive and Olivia ended up living together because they all were underage and they ended up making a bond that was unbreakable. Through trials and tribulations, they made it through the girls brother came and found them. He didn't die with their parents. Great job. Great ending

The Memphis Edition ByJammie Jaye
Lord these Hampton brother's were the life. Each one had found love to be cheated on or taking for granted until they met Jazz, Jai, which were best friends. And Pat had Miya as his best friend. Myia loved Pat with all her heart as he loved her, he just wanted his cake too. DK had been through hell with his ex until he met Jai. Then Hamp met Jazz and her son Jayce they had issues with both ex's but love overcame. Some good revelations came from this story. I wouldn't mind seeing more of them. Great job

Must Read!!!

I couldn't stand Teddy. I was glad when he was finally out of the picture. He was no good for Kennedy and their kids. Boone wasn't either. Both of them was using her in their own way. I'm glad she met Reese. They're great together. The ending was great. I love the way Nolani made a way to take care of herself, her daughter, and her sister at a very young age. Having Camari and Ms. Ethel in her corner was great. Hareem was dirty for the way he did Nolani especially his own sister, Camari. He got what he deserved. I'm glad she met Adwin. He showed her what a real man was. I hate what happened to Ms. Ethel. I loved the ending. The way Olive, Olivia, and Demetri bonded after everything that happened was the best. I was glad Demetri and Olive finally got together even though he messed up a few times. They were meant for each other. I was shocked about what really happened to Oliver. The ending was perfect. I love the way the relationships blossomed between Jazz and Hamp, Miya and Pat, and Jai and DK. Despite the drama they all had went through, they still managed to stick together. I'm glad Chanel got what she deserved. She was asking for it. Aaron got caught up in his lies and tried to ruin Jazz but didn't work. The ending turned out perfect. I really enjoyed reading this boxset.

Each lady really did their thang with each book

Yona 's I was so into this and then boom it jumped to the epilogue. I went back a couple pages like huh did I miss something?

Myeisha Newton- one of favorite of the book I loved Nolani & Adwin characters. They balanced each other and really brought out the best in each other. This I wouldn't mind reading more about.

Shaunn Aryande- Other one of my favorites. The sisters and Demetri really was dealt a bad hand in life and they didn't let it break them. My favorite part in this book was when I read that Demetri had to lock Olive in the closet to try to get her to clam down.

Jammie Jaye- book was good as well I had to take my time and try to figure out what I was actually reading on fill in some words myself. That still didn't take away from the authors work I like how the brothers and the friends meshed together with each other.

Great Read

The first story I would have to give three stars. It was decent. It had the potential to be five star's but the grammatical errors took away from the story. Never would I glorify teen pregnancy but I have to give Kennedy her props. She was 18 with two children. It was ruff on her but she did what she had to do for her children. Teddy was trifling. He had no business messing with Kennedy but he also did nothing to help her take care of her children. I'm glad Kennedy father came around and also fixed his habit so they can have a better relationship. Reese definitely came in and showed Kennedy what a real man is. The second story was great. Nolani went through a lot but it didn't break her and She didn't fold. I couldn't feel sorry for what happened to Hareem. He was arrogant and thought that he was untouchable. I was expecting Camari to have ill feelings towards Nolani because of her brother but Camari has her own personal reasons towards Hareem. Adwin crush turned into a full blown relationship. I'm glad he was transparent with Nolani. Adwin mother Ivy was a mess. I can't stand women like her. I hate what happened to Mrs. Ethel.

Horrible editing, Word Usage

I don't know who edited these books but they need to give these people their money back. I know we have our way on saying things, ya know slang, ebonics whatever. That's not what I'm referring to. I'm talking about the difference between past and present tense. Simply how something is worded can throw off the whole flow of a book. Its mad annoying, gotta do better. Most ppl would stop reading but the storylines kept your attention so I continued reading. Also there were a lot of grammatical errors. I skipped and skimmed alot. Headache loading. Do better please.

Very good

I’m happy they all found true love!) Nikki wasn’t kenken friend and never had her best interest an I love her an brook relationship. She would be just kinda acting dumb at times.letting her dead beat sperm doner beat her down in life like that.( happy olive an Olivia never once let they situation be the reason they be stuck in life. And found they brother.( I’m happy nolani gave adwin a chance and stopped judging him. And that’s for his mamma wanna call people ghetto when she was in the same time as the next.( an jazzie them I just loved them with all they 50 children. Can’t wait to read about them in the near future!!

These women delivered some banging stories.
I can’t say which one was the best because they were all good.
I learned that living in section 8 was just temporary for these women. They had goals and they tried to stick to them. Sometimes circumstances got in the way, but they cried and kept pushing. Olive and Olivia’s story was very heartfelt. They went through so much but they kept pushing through. They were just children making grownup decisions.

It’s okay to start small if the end result is bigger and better.

THIS WAS A BOOK WITH 4 DIFFERENT STORIES IN IT. ALL THE STORIES WERE REALLY GOOD. I LOVE HOW THE AUTHORS HAVE THEY MAIN CHARACTERS LOOKING AND ACTING. EVERYONE WAS NOT PERFECT BUT THEY WERE GOOD PEOPLE. IT SHOWED HOW THE CHARACTERS WANTED THE BEST FOR THEMSELVES AND LOVED ONES. THE STORIES WAS NOT ABOUT BEING RICH BUT BEING FINANCIALLY STABLE. I DID NOT LIKE ALL THE EDITING ERRORS IN THE STORIES. I CANNOT DECIDE WHICH WAS MY FAVORITE STORY. GREAT JOB TO THESE AUTHORS. THIS BOOK WAS WORTH THE READ.

Banger Alert

All of these stories were definitely a page turner..
Some of the relationships didn't start out good but in the end they all ended up with their soul mates..I'm glad tht Kennedy gave her dad another chance & he liked Reese for her..
Nolani told Adwin from the beginning tht if he couldn't be honest from the start then she didn't want to be bothered,he listened too her & made it known who he was..his mom was something else but she got just what her hands called for.

Pretty good

I really enjoyed these stories and characters and would love to read more about them. The last story, “The Memphis Edition” was one of my favorites but there were a lot of typos. If the characters weren’t so intriguing I wouldn’t have finished the story. There were a lot of bloopers as well, like Chanel was killed and then showed up at the end of the book. This is a 5 ⭐️ read but if you get irritated with bad writing and lack of editing then skip the Memphis Edition.

I enjoyed reading each story but I think the first and last stories are my favorite. The girls in each story had some sort of adversary that caused them to grow up faster than they needed to which taught them about life. Each story brings out different emotions as you read with the story ending on a good note. While these stories were good a d kept your attention they also at times lose your attention. There were a lot of errors that needed to be fixed but other than that these were dope stories.

Great book!!!

I loved this book. All 4 stories gave me life. The best one was olive and Taz. Every story was great. Each one was very unique in its own way. The craziest and funniest one was the last one with the brothers. They didn’t play about their mom and sisters. Their exes and baby mamas were extremely crazy though. I already recommended this book to my friend. I can’t wait for her to read it so we can talk about it later.

Rollercoaster read

Uhmm a rollercoaster of reading...story 1 to me was the worst and maybe should have been the last one (so many typos and jumping, it made for a harder read) story 2 was good and had a different angle than most love stories but I enjoyed it and was well written. Story 3 lost some tempo but was okay. Story 4 was okay but by the time I'm into it the book has just been too mixed.

Satisfied Reader

These books were good. I loved how these characters grew up together and knew each other ins and outs. These women deserved all the happiness cuz growing up wasn't the best for them. But they made the best for themselves and their kids and i loved that. Great book from these authors

These Authors really bring the heat with these stories! Whether they were in Philly, Charlotte, Houston or Memphis they showed how they started from the bottom and made it to the top! Not wanting to give any spoilers but I’ll say this book is well worth your time. As always these ladies delivered. Great work ladies

School

Each and every one of you need to take a writing class or go to school. I thought maybe 1 story but all. Errors almost every page ( exaggeration). Use a good friend to re-read your stuff. For that I blame the publishers. Invest in a proof reader to help your product. Your words are your product. Mark your shit with perfection. Good stories, but too many errors

I enjoyed this book and different stories. I enjoyed how the characters grew throughout the books. My favorite stories were by Myeisha, Shaunn, and Jammie. The women in the stories grew from the tragedy that had occurred in their lives and bettered themselves. They ended up with good men that loved them.

I was surprised that I was able to really feel each of the stories. The very last one was good but so many misspellings and skipped or wrong words annoyed me a tiny bit.

Great read but errors!

This was a good read of 4 tales of women coming from little to riches. The errors were bad though. Also, while they were short stories, some elements were missing, such as in the last story. Why was she arrested? Overall it was entertaining.
