I have a different print of this book, but it's the 9th edition.
There are so many words in this textbook, but so little content. After I read each section, I'm following the train of thought, but after about 3 pages, I realize that almost nothing is being said. The textbook lacks insight, it is not concise, it wanders and offers platitudes and bland statements. I get the sense that the author knows what he's talking about, but has no idea how to write. As I've gone through this book, I had renewed optimism that I'd learn something in each chapter, but then just found the same old common-sense surface-language that provided no real insight.
There are a few sections that I found helpful however for career counseling. It's not completely worthless, just a really indirect and poorly written book.
