This book is a step by step guide on how to go from zero to a career in software development. Great for anyone who is trying to get a grip on where to begin, what's next, and moving forward in your career.
1. How to build a syllabus to direct your studies
2. How to build a network of like minded contacts
3. What to expect in interviews
4. Sample questions you should ask and may be asked
5. Pit falls to watch out for every step of the way
The book is loaded with numerous ideas and additional resources to really launch your education.
Also, if you've suffered set backs and frustrations there is a great chance you will, not only, relate to Gwen's story, but benefit from the positive spin she puts on every situation.
I purchased and read the Kindle addition, however, this would be a great book to purchase a hard copy of to keep right on your desk as a Go To reference. I'm purchasing a hard copy for that purpose. I wish they had taught a course on this when I was in college.
