Kenneth M. Sheldon is a novelist, playwright, and performer. His most recent book is Captain John Manley: Patriot, Privateer, and America's Forgotten First Hero. His previous book, Deep Water: Murder, Scandal and Intrigue in a New England Town, tells the story of an unsolved murder at the end of World War I. Formerly the West Coast bureau chief for Byte Magazine, he has written for publications ranging from Acoustic Guitar to Yankee Magazine. His novels appear under his own name, and also as suspense novelist Michael Manley and Yankee humorist Fred Marple.
