Just a side topic, I appreciate the fact that Sato Tsubame sensei conducted in-depth study of the banking profession and integrated a M&A business case into the story line.
The two main characters displayed key qualities of successful bankers: ethics/integrity, due diligence, compliance, and risk management.
They investigated the client’s potential insider trading activities, cleverly warned him without compromising the business relationship and lose commission for the bank.
The seme is serious about establishing a relationship because he likes the uke. Being a real man, protecting the uke from his ex-bf’s harassment and standing up for themselves in public against homophobia.
However, the uke is hesitant to accept because of many realistic considerations. He thinks the seme will be happier living a normal life, marrying a wife and raising a family with children. He also lacks confidence in himself, probably because of many unpleasant relationships with ex-bfs.
The two have complimentary personalities and I think they make good partners in life. The seme is the type that goes all in once he’s made up his mind, either 0 or 1, no time for non-sense. The uke has keen attention to details and carefully analyze everything before taking action.
