This is a remarkable book that couldn’t be more timely — and, for me, one of the best, most positive things to happen in 2020. The stories of these amazing women are inspiring examples of, not what women could be or should be, but what strong and influential women are doing right now to overcome barriers, speak truth to power, challenge injustice, fight violence and inequality and, basically, to get sh*t done. Rachanow, an experienced and dedicated writer and researcher, talented and inspiring in her own right, shares these intimate portraits with grace, reverence and flair. And while the book is clearly aimed at those who identify as women, I challenge other men like me, allies for Women’s Rights, to read this book, give it a shot, enjoy the stories, and just take it all in. You won’t be disappointed.

Good stories, good storytelling. This does feel like very base-level content, would love to dive into the deeper stuff.
