Jamal and Mia’s marriage is what everyone calls picture-perfect or couple goals. Jamal loves Mia with every fiber of his being. Mia has found a provider, protector, and an amazing lover in Jamal, and believes he is truly her soulmate. However, nothing is ever perfect, and as Christmas approaches, Mia is reminded of the imperfections within her home. The dark cloud looming over the couple, makes the holiday season difficult to truly enjoy. Jamal makes it his mission to put a smile on his wife’s face, no matter the difficulties they’ve experienced. But instead of counting the blessings, Mia is focused on the one thing she doesn’t have. As the days to Christmas ticks down, the couple’s home is filled with tension and sadness that Jamal attempts to extinguish. Only he does not have the power to provide the one thing Mia so badly desires. With prayers and Christmas wishes… will Jamal and Mia get the only gift that will truly matter?

Treasured Holiday was a heavy holiday read. I didn't know I would need a box of tissues and a bottle of wine. Mia and Jamal are going through it. They've been trying to have a baby for the past few years and have been heartbreakingly unsuccessful. When Mia's doctor tells her it's time for them to start thinking about other options, she looses it. Having Jamal's baby is all she wants and all she thinks about. So much so that she tries to alienate her family and her husband while spiraling into depression. Jamal was the husband we all pray to God for. He was patient, loving, attentive, and sexy AF. When I tell y'all this man went hard for his wife. His love for Mia never waivered. Jamal let it be known, baby or no baby, that's my lady and I'ma stick beside her. The ending was so sweet, I actually cried. It was the Christmas miracle they didn't see coming. Treasured Holiday was such an emotional read but, oh so good. This is my first book by Shanel and it definitely won't be my last. Get into this book ladies. You will not be disappointed.

Well this was a tear jerker!! What a beautiful story 😭🤧🥰 Jamel and Mia were two years into their marriage and while hopelessly in love with each other there was a strain in their relationship because Mia felt inadequate that she couldn’t give her husband the one thing she thought he wanted most…..a baby. Despite their struggle with infertility, Jamel made it crystal clear that Mia was the beginning and the end for him! We Stan a husband that loves his wife deeply and completely even when she’s at her lowest. He constantly reassured Mia that she was worthy even though she felt worthless for not being able to do the one thing she felt she was out on earth to do. Jamal gave her a safe space to grieve and heal and he was absolutely everything! The ending was 😭🤧😢 everything you’d expect in a Christmas “Miracle” All the feels 🥰🥰🥰

Omg I wasn’t expecting a story that tugged so much on my heart strings but I loved it so much. Mia and Jamaal tried everything in their power to conceive a child but time and time again they failed. Mia wasn’t producing enough eggs and when she did manage to get pregnant, she couldn’t carry the baby to term. Dealing with the struggle of not being able to conceive tore Mia apart. She couldn’t function and became very hard to deal with over time. Thankfully, Jamaal was there as a loving, patient and supportive husband. I loved him so much. The way that he wrapped her in is love warmed my heart. He never allowed her to push him away and he continued to effectively communicate with her while trying to support and understand her feelings. I honestly thought eventually he would get tired and do something stupid but I’m glad that never happened. This story was very loving and drama free Just an emotional story about a couple struggling to conceive and how it pays to communicate and be present in a marriage till death so us part. What a tear-jerking story with a happy ending that I felt they both deserved.

My heart strings 💜

Ms. Shanel, I went researching to find another book to read by you after reading, "A Snowed In Love Affair," and I stumbled across this one. To say it pulled on my heart strings would be an understatement. This book just touched my soul because I felt for Mia and Jamal issue. It's so sad, but this seems to be a common problem in a lot of young couples' households. Jamal was determined though to make sure his wife knew that she was "it" for him. He was going to honor the vows he stood before God, family, and friends. He pulled out all the stops even down to adding 'Rocko' to their family. The last and final stop was all God. God answered their prayer in an unconventional manner. I loved the outcome of this book, although I thought the tiredness Mia was experiencing was signs of a growing life.

This is another great holiday read that will tug at your heart and eyes. You will shed a tear or two reading about Mia and Jamal's struggles. It is well worth the read. It really displays the real meaning of Christmas. "Miracle (s)" and dreams do come true.

From the very beginning I knew what Mia and Jamal was going through without them giving it away right away. I dislike when authors make it too obvious while taking so long to actually reveal what they’re saying without saying. Anyway I did enjoy the story somewhat. I felt bad that Mia was going through that but the way she treated her husband like he was standing by her feeling the same pain was annoying. Jamal was a great attentive husband to her and each time she had a chance she lashed out like it was his fault but Jamal was a MAN he stood by her for better or worse, through sickness and health. Jamal took those vows seriously!

This Christmas novella was everything and then some! Jamal was tender, sweet, patient, and kind! One couldn't ask for a better husband! And poor Mia, my heart broke for her. I literally broke down in tears for her as if she were a real person when they were at their doctor's appointment. Even though she was facing her demons, Jamal's love never wavered and in the end, they got their Miracle! I loved how this story took me on a ride, and had me feeling every emotion there is! Great work Shanel!!!

Queen Shanel gave us a real tear jerker with this holiday novella.
Jamel is forever bae, like God definitely broke the mil mold when he created they man right there😍. God definitely tested his patience when it came to his wife's mental after dealing with back to back loss😢. But That man held strong and was determined to insure that she knew go matter what he wanted her and only her. Look how God showed up and showed out with that Christmas Miracle💕.

This novella was a really Christmas miracle. So glad that Mia got the one thing she treasured for the holiday. This story really pulled I my heart strings. Jamal, was definitely a loving understanding husband, they took his vows to heart. He loved Mia too much , to give up on her. Jamal was a patient man. Mia was kind of selfish in my opinion. He gave her all the Love he had but she never seem to get it. They got their Miracle at the end.
