Good stories but a bit drawn out

I read all 3 so kept me interested as the story itself was good but just felt too many unnecessary drawn out descriptions that didn't contribute to the story and these were even repeated. I liked Jamie to begin with but by the 3rd book I found her self serving and conceited. Not sure I will be reading anymore.

Thrillers with Heart & Mystery!!

Each of these books in this prequel series are FABULOUS!!! If you love a dark & ethereal Nordic Noir with intense & moody detectives, then this is a prequel series that you definitely do NOT want to pass up!! Jamies’ character is so deep and complex and you will not be able to stop wanting to see where her journey goes next!! Lots of twists & turns & surprises for Jamie in this one!!! LOVED IT!!:-)

First time reading DSJamie Johansson....

Discovered this author by chance looking for holiday reading, was hooked from the first sentence of book 1!! Couldn't put the books down, loved them. Gritty and fast paced storylines with the underlying relationships between Johansson and Roper developed across the series. Lots of twists and loops. Fab! Can't wait to read book 4 .

I stumbled upon this author by chance … I was enthralled reading the angel maker… once hooked I found the trilogy .. the beginning of the story and have since down loaded and read all the books

It’s been years since I have enjoyed a series of stories so much - really well written and difficult to put down

Full of action and murder

Scandi noir with a British twist. Detective Jamie Johansson tirelessly tracks down and deals with ruthless villains. She is still learning her trade, but is guided by the spirit of her late father. The pace is relentless-sometimes unbelievably so. A gripping and pacey story.

Excellent

A good end to her time with the Met in London. The first three books developed a good group around Jamie and it was interesting to see the changes that occurred. Looking forward to the Angel Maker.

I tried to like this story. The characters seemed interesting. But the overkill on describing everything little thing annoyed me. I gave up. Perhaps it gets better. However, if a story doesn’t grab me in the opening chapters then it’s not for me.
