For the price, I can't knock this book by Conway. Call it a personal bias in favor of the Conway series of naval reference books, but I find Navies in the Nuclear Age to be useful in my library. In particular I like the charts that list the warships of a particular type by class. The listing of the particulars such as displacement, dimensions, hull-type, armament, speed, launch dates, and numbers built make for a great comparison of various classes of warships in a specific category.
In addition, there are some nice black and white images of various classes of warships.
The data on the various classes are quite good, and the information is helpful as a general quick reference.
The book could use detailed side and top elevation images of selected "best" classes that represent a particular category of warships, but the book is still good without them.
