This activity book has 10 beautiful designs, and hundreds of stickers in little mosaic shapes! It's so easy to put the stickers into place, and the finished product looks wonderful. It's very relaxing and helped me to get creative. You really feel a sense of accomplishment when you finish!
The stickers are sturdy and easy to remove from the sticker sheet. The colors are vibrant and it's simple to follow the instructions to find the right placement for each sticker. I really loved that the pages are perforated, so that you can tear out the sticker sheet or the design or both. That way you don't have to keep flipping back and forth in the book.
I love the clever designs and beautiful colors! There are pictures of all kinds of fantasy creatures and scenes. The glitter stickers make it really special and cute. This is perfect for anytime you have some anxiety and need a calm activity.

PAINT BY STICKER KIDS: MERMAIDS & MAGIC! is a fun new paint by sticker collection of mystical images, including mermaids, a gnome, unicorns, a crown, and a crystal ball, among others. As per the series, the book is a collection of images with shape lines and numbers that are matched to the stickers where they should be placed. By adding stickers, children create the multidimensional images pictured. This one also includes glitter stickers for some images, such as the mermaids tails/outfits and hair.
What I loved: These book are really great for motor skills, spatial reasoning (in re-orienting the stickers to fit the shapes), and number skills. The number of stickers and their size (eg, difficulty level) varies from image to image. The mermaids are among the most difficult because they have lots of tiny stickers and go up over 100 (also the gnome), but there are some easier pages too, such as the unicorn and crown.
A really great feature is that the stickers peel up reasonably easily, so they can be replaced if it turns out they were not placed well enough the first time. Even as an adult helping with these, I found that I would miss on the smaller stickers and need to try again a time or two. I also appreciate that the glitter stickers feature sealed glitter - so no glitter mess everywhere! This is really valuable, as they add shine without any mess at all.
These are great for car trips or other times when quiet and small activities are needed. They can keep children occupied for a while and are really self-contained. The pages are also perforated, so they can be easily removed when finished for display purposes (also for the sticker sheets to come out for use). I also really enjoyed the varied skin tones of the mermaids!
What left me wanting more: This one has a lot of really intricate images with teeny-tiny stickers used to make faces and hands. They are much tougher to maneuver and get put in exactly the right place (even for adults), so these might cause frustration in perfectionist children. That being said, they do peel up without too much fuss, so they can be restuck a few times until they are in place.
Final verdict: Overall, this is a really fun new collection of paint by sticker art to appeal to the fan of magic inside all of us! I would recommend for slightly older or more experienced paint by sticker artists, as these images tend to have some complexity to them, with the resulting images being really lovely!
