Another one of those mysteries I see myself watching on a Sunday night. Good characters & mystery. I like how it didn't take long to get into the mystery.
From the adorable cover to the story itself, this was a really cute and lovable cozy mystery. I immediately liked Pam and Paul who'd found love at a slightly older age but they're not really all that old ten years later even. Pam's friends, the ladies who walked the local mall with her at o'dark-thirty a.m. were super nice and it was easy to see how they were all such good friends.
Out of all the Christmas decorations, I'm sure the group never expected to see the dead guy they did though. Combine that with a crooked sheriff and a 20-year old mall heist and you've got a nice little cozy mystery. The main murder mystery was solved but I think there's still something else going on with that past heist. I've already borrowed and dug into the next book!
Pam and Paul Bigelow and their group of mall-walking friends figure it’s up to them to solve the murder of Santa, found under the mall Christmas tree, since local law enforcement seems rather inept at doing so themselves. They uncover plenty of suspects, secrets from the past, broken promises and heartache, betrayal, rumors of corruption, and more. Can they solve the crime before local law enforcement and before Christmas Eve?
I enjoyed the story involving older amateur sleuths.
This was a paperback, but there wasn't any paperback option. In the past I've requested the author add books, but they don't always do it, and I honestly didn't want to bother. I received this from an author's giveaway on Facebook. It was an okay plot, but there were beaucoup printing errors I'm not sure I can recommend it. I feel badly for giving it a not so good review, but I have to be honest.
Ms. Michaels has done a great job of introducing the setting and characters in this first book of a cozy mystery short story series. I immediately liked all of the characters and enjoyed getting to know them as they investigated the murder of a mall manager in their hometown. A few twists, each character got the chance to dig for clues and the plot did some deft twists near the end that I never saw coming. Enjoyable afternoon read.
This kindle e-book novella is from my Kindle Unlimited account book one of four
She won the lottery and they moved to Maine coast. There they meet friends walking in the mall where they discover a dead body. They keep asking questions uncovering the truth leading to an arrest.
I would recommend this series and author to 👍readers of romantic family and friends relationships adventure mystery novels 👍🔰. 2025 💏👮
A group of mall walkers find Santa, dead, under the Christmas tree at the mall. The only thing missing was the pants. Insteat he had a sign that said “I’ve Been a Naughty Boy.”. Santa turned out to be the mall manager and Paul and Pam and the rest of the walkers decide to do their own investigation. They are mystery writers after all. During their investigation the uncover family secrets long hidden. A great short mystery with interesting characters.
A very bitty story. Could’ve been better developed and also better proofread. A murder in a mall discovered by “mall walkers” who get together to try and find the culprit. A corrupt cop and a town filled with people that hated the dead guy. Secrets turn up but in the end the right person is arrested and things seem to be on the up. If you need a quick Christmassy read this is it.
I love the characters and the story. The killer could be anyone. I like that you really didn't know until the end. There were some twists and turns that made it more interesting. I'd recommend this story to anyone looking for a fun story that you can read in an afternoon.
The characters were, well, characters, each with unique personalities. I had a hard time putting this book down, even if it was a short read. My compliments to the author.
Pam & Paul on a walk through the mall with their friends discover a dead man the late former security guard. Afire at their newspaper office brings more of the puzzle together? A fun novella and a good introduction to this cute cozy.
Great little mystery! I always like to try to figure it out before the end of the book. Guess I was right at the start but kept changing my mind. I love it when I A book keeps me guessing!
