After my mom dies, I learn that I have an aunt in the fancy town of Royalton. Before I have time to come to terms with losing Mom, I move to Royalton and am enrolled in Royal Bridge Academy. The school is ruled by the Royal Kings and Queens where the requirements to belong are as follows: rich, snobby, and mean. I think I'm protected because my cousin Ethan rules the school, but I'm caught off-guard by the games the Royals play. I become an expendable pawn when Ryder Cabot and Ingrid Whitman use me in their war against Ethan. I won't stay down for long. When I come back, I decide to fight back with my weapon of choice. I hope the Royals are ready for me because power doesn't always lie with those with money. Power belongs to those who can control, destroy, or create the information found on the Internet. My name is Mira Bell, and I'm no ordinary teen.
I really liked this story, it was slightly different than your typical bully romance, but that's a good thing! It was definitely full of angst and emotion. There were lots of characters and the plot developed at a good pace which kept things interesting! I will definitely be reading more from this author!

This book kept me on the edge of my seat throughout! Byrne did a fantastic job of keeping up suspense. All of the characters in this book were amazing...especially Mira and Ryder. This book was a high school bully mystery/suspense story. Kudos to Byrne on this original well-crafted story! This book is a must read and I highly recommend!
I'm a sucker for books about hackers, hacking or techy main characters, so when I found this I HAD to give it a go!
The plot was really intriguing and I liked the mystery and social hierarchy of the boarding school. I do wish we got to see more of what's happening instead of being told. Also at times some things were a bit unclear but I got the gist of everything and it was only small details. I really enjoyed reading about how Mira hacks and her work online. Mira is super clever, a little shy but still cool. I did wish she would stand up for herself near the beginning, but the turning point halfway through did make her pretty badass. I really liked the friendship between her and Darcy and Celeste, they were so supportive of each other. I do wish that we had more of an insight as to WHO Mira is, and seen more of her likes, dislikes and hobbies to give her a little more depth. The romance was definitely more of a bully to lovers thing, I hated Ryder at the beginning because he was such an ass to Mira, but over the book he develops and changes. I also enjoyed the love triangle, it was all brooding but there was a clear interest. I did have a few issues with Ryder. The world building was really cool, and the hacking was easy to understand, there was a fair amount of information dump at certain parts. I liked the classy events and lifestyle of the school and families, and how Mira perceives it all. Overall, I enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it if it's your first time reading about hacking in fiction, it's a easy read that's fast paced and mysterious with a great romance!
at first. It took a little bit to become friends (enemies) with the characters, but once the barrier was broken it was don't stop reading. I couldn't wait to see what happened next. The pacing was perfect, and the storyline kept me interested wondering what would happen next.
I totally and completely recommend you read this!!!
