On the eve of World War II, the most intelligent nuclear physicist in the world discovers a new sub-atomic particle, but before his secret could get out, he mysteriously disappears. The repercussions of the young physicist's actions leave waves that, 80 years later, reach the rocky shores of Ocean Point, Maine. Perry Franklin, a US government researcher, is pulled from forced retirement to investigate a strange phenomenon that shut down one of the CIA’s most sophisticated spy satellites. Odd clues soon lead him to an isolated village on the northern coast of Sicily where he finds much more than he was looking for. To avoid disturbing the delicate balance of nuclear powers, Franklin must put his career and his life in the hands of a woman, a family, and a culture unlike any he’d experienced before. Join Perry Franklin and his Sicilian companion, Christina LaTorre, as they reluctantly battle rogue boat captains, black ops mercenaries, and high-level political appointees, to achieve an outcome that will change the world.

I’m a best-selling author who’s recently written, The BiniSphere, an exciting international thriller that leverages my extensive background in fielding state-of-the-art surveillance and reconnaissance technologies for the military. After 9/11, I became an expert in hostile force tagging, tracking, and locating. Working with the US Special Operations Command, FBI, and the intelligence community, I worked side-by-side with the world’s elite warriors to transition my technologies from the laboratory to the rugged environments of the middle-east. Along the way I became an FAA-licensed pilot, a divemaster, and a USCG-certified boat captain.

I was raised by a single mom in rural western Massachusetts where I spent most of my time fishing, hunting, and exploring the Berkshire mountains. I joined the Army at the age of 17 and served with the 163rd Military Intelligence Battalion before returning home to obtain an engineering degree at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. After graduation, I went back to work, inventing unique electro-optical devices for the military.

My wife, Lt Col (R) Elaine Foster (an internationally-recognized military psychologist), and I are authors of the best-selling books, In Movement There is Peace, which chronicles our 500-mile backpacking journey across northern Spain on the ancient pilgrimage trail, the Camino de Santiago and I Wish I Knew This Before My Divorce!, a self-care guide using mindfulness practices and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to end suffering during a breakup. We and our German Shepard, Allie, now live on a ranch in southern NM where we write, grow grapes, make wine and continue to travel the world in search of the next adventure.
