All the books in this series can be read as a stand-alone, but after reading just one – you will want to read them all! This is a fantastic series and I have enjoyed each book. Hoping for more sometime down the road!!!!
Stronghold Investigations has been approached by Dennis & Sylvia Renner after their son Teddy was involved in a car accident, leaving the family with more questions than answers after discovering a hidden notebook. Of course, Bexley Squires is up for discovering the truth!
While she is busy trying to solve the who, what, when, where and why’s of Teddy’s hidden notebook, Bexley is visiting Brewer (the love of her life) in prison while he serves out his sentence, but then also gets a phone call that sends her off to the Midwest to take care of a family matter. Her hands are full, but thankfully her friends and family are there to pitch in to help out!
Once again, I loved trying to play amateur sleuth and figure out the mystery before Bexley could, but Ms. Avery had me guessing to the last page! Love Bexley, Brewer, and the entire band of secondary characters! The story-line is great and will pull you in while wanting to help Bexley out in any way that you can!

Once again Quinn kept me guessing to the very end and had me turning the pages as fast as I could to get to the end because I had to know what was going to happen and what would be revealed. This mystery series is by far one of my very favorites and I'm never disappointed in a Bexley Squires story. Quinn's writing is top notch and very clever and fresh. Each story can stand alone but does have some overlap or references to previous things that happened in prior books but in no way would you have to read the previous ones to be able to follow this one. This time Bexley is searching for answers that can help her understand a notebook and if you're a long time reader of this series, you know she'll get to the bottom of it one way or another!

This book had me in a tight grip as all your wonderful books do. I loved the action and reading about Bexley´s cases not to mention how heartwarming it was at times.
