This book should be mandatory reading for anyone on an upward path in an organization. I was impressed by the rating system that was backed-up by actual examples of different types of leadership. I appreciated the insight of the author who used examples from his long career in business. Anyone who aspires to be a first-time CEO should study the different examples and take the best attributes from those that fit their personality. I was very impressed with the insight into management styles, some of which I have encountered in my personal business dealings. I also enjoyed the amusing stories which made the points easier to understand.
The Rookie CEO, is full of life advise that other like you have went through. A key not to take away from the book is - be a leader people want to follow!
More of a 3.5 stars. Interesting enough description of 9 different rookie CEOs, but the editing of three book is puzzling, slicing the presentation asking 4 dimensions rather than by CEO. Makes for needlessly confusing reading.
