Uzbek Soviet writer, film playwright. People's writer of the Uzbek SSR (1978). Born in the family of a craftsman in the Beshagach district of Tashkent. After graduating from high school, he studied at the College of Electromechanics. Later he worked in republican newspapers and publications. In the period 1962-1965 he worked at the Uzbekfilm film studio. He wrote scripts for the films “Where are you, my Zulfiya” (also known as “Yor-yor”) and “You are not an orphan” and this made a huge contribution to the development of Uzbek cinema. The film “You are not an orphan”, shot according to the script of Rahmat Fayzi, was presented to viewers of foreign countries and received a decent rating.
