I think this is a great book for first time school camp conversation in particular.
I do like the fact that this series of books shows a diverse set of trusted adult characters children can go to to discuss their problems and worries with, helps them navigate when, how and with whom to alleviate their troubles.
Really like this series.

"Flamingo didn't like being scared. He wanted to be brave.

Flamingo is afraid of spiders, the dark and loud noises, but after talking to his grandfather and relying on his friends, he finds that he can be brave and have fun at a sleepover.
