Who would've thought biking would be used beyond its intended use? When you think about it, bikes can go places where cars can't, and to have an entire club strictly consisting of killer cyclists, wild. Now, everyone should be more suspicious because anyone can be murderous.

In "Cyclist Club: Part 2 of the Rodriguez Series," author George Marzocchi grasps your attention by starting the book with a bit of action, a road accident involving a cyclist. Sergent Rodriguez is assigned to investigating this case in solving the homicides of a wealthy man named Mr. Howard Mayhew and a John Doe cyclist. Alongside him in this case he appointed Detective Marco Spinelli and Tropper William Jankowski. Zachariah is a Russian expatriate, the leader of the elitist Cyclist Club, is the connection behind this and many future cyclists' deaths. With the main goal of capturing this psychopath, it is up to Rodriguez and his team to catch and convict Zachariah. An interesting thing to note, both Rodriguez and Zarachiah seem to be the perfect cop and criminal pair because they share common physical strengths that are unlike any others. Their determination, one to capture, one to stay free, is what makes their connection stronger.

I liked how the author maintained momentum throughout the book, keeping a cat and mouse action of things alive between Rodriguez and Zachariah. It makes me wonder what else is going on in the world where the wealthy and rich are involved. The higher amount of money one can spark odd interests in things well beyond what anyone can imagine. Exciting to know there is more to this series and I look forward to reading them. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for great action involving elites and law enforcement.

The Cyclist Club is far from what you think when you read its title. It is a well-written crime thriller that had me on the edge of my seat. Author George Marzocchi introduces his second installment of his Rodriguez series with a little background on the main character Sergeant Rodriguez. He is needed in New York to help solve a mysterious case involving cyclists randomly murdering people on the streets of Long Island. Being back in New York also gives him an opportunity to set the record straight on some old history involving his father.

Rodriguez is a career officer who chose to follow in his father’s footsteps. His job is his life, and he takes his cases seriously. When a man is found shot dead in his car, a cyclist is also found nearby with a missing foot. This is only beginning of a macabre cycling club’s agenda. Rodriguez builds his team and goes to work to find out who’s pulling the strings behind these murders. The antagonist, Zachariah taunts Rodriguez throughout the case and learns that he is not the only one who wants the Sergeant dead. Being the top cop that he is, Rodriguez stays one step of his opponents which only further infuriates Zachariah. The mysteries behind Zachariah and the cyclists will kept me engaged throughout the book.

This book has a clever storyline and a great main character to follow. If you are into reading thrillers filled with suspense, look no further. I look forward to reading the first and third installment of the Rodriguez series. Hopefully, there will be more than three books in this series.

Quite the Ride

Where do I begin with this story? I guess the beginning is probably the best place. The Cyclist Club has so many layers, and yet, they all mesh together wonderfully.

I have not read the first saga, but I have to assume it is every bit as distinct as the second outing. This one featured so exciting points that it just doesn't quit until you reach the end.

The multi layered villainy has its points as well. At first, I thought the cartel leader was going to be the one to be reckoned with, but while he is a nasty piece of work, he has nothing on the real villain of the story.

The real villain snuck up on me. I was paying attention to him, but wow, he has a multi tracked mind and knows what he wants. He manages to make it pretty far too.

Then you have the romance and that actually blindsided me completely. I did not expect a romantic note to play out at all. It was kind of neat how it came out in the end.

I am curious to know whether the intense family drama in the background will be concluded in part three. It is only because he isn't done that I am guessing that it has not concluded just yet. I am guessing when it does, that will be quite the finale for Rodriguez.

I am looking forward to seeing how the author rounds it all out in the future. Till then, this episode was rather exciting.

I am volunteering an honest review for the benefit of others.
