"Nia The Narwhal Explores The Christmas Ocean" is a very cute book about Nia exchanging gifts with several different friends in the ocean. The book is designed with sight words listed in bold print throughout the book geared toward Pre-K and Kindergarten level readers. There is a page on shapes as well. The pictures are very bright and colorful and it is sweet to see the friends exchange gifts. The story is quite short, but there are some educational tidbits at the end of the book about coral reefs. There are also tips on ways to keep coral reefs safe. This book would be great for Pre-K and Kindergarten kids in either a school or home setting. It would work great for homeschooling as well.

An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) whale adventure storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s whale adventure movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

What a cute book! We loved the ocean theme, it's a slightly different take on the typical Christmas story and the 4 y.o is loving everything ocean at the moment so this is perfect. I liked the emphasis on sight words and theme of friendship as well, great book to add for the holidays!
A very cute and colorful story about Nia the Narwhal who gives presents to her different friends in the ocean. Kids will learn a lot about the sea animals and coral. Educators will enjoy the helpful bold words in the book to help kids in the learning process. Great learning book for young ones.
This book is designed to help beginning readers as it incorporates common sight words throughout the story. It also has an important message about ocean conservation and there’s a lot of very useful information for kids at the back of the book about coral reefs and oceans. An entertaining way for them to learn about the importance of oceans.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It is a simple and sweet story about Nia the Nawhal who goes to meet her friends in the coral reef during Christmas time. I wanted to keep turning the page to see who she meets next. Illustrations of the cute characters are great as well. Loved it!
I really enjoyed this book for me and my daughter. She thought it was funny to have Christmas in the Ocean! She really liked all the silly gifts the friends were giving to each other. As a mom I liked the combination of shapes depicted into everyday objects that are commonly seen, like a triangle and a Christmas tree. The information was great to teach more about this book! Great story, enjoyed it a lot
The Narwhal visits her friends as she celebrates Christmas. I enjoyed the bright colors of the underwater adventure. The story shows the true spirit of Christmas, giving. At the end of the book the author added facts about the real locations featured in the story (coral reefs).
This book offers young readers sight words to follow along. The beautiful and playful illustrations are wonderful. I loved meeting Nia’s friends as the story went along. Plus the coloring page in the back is a great bonus as well as all the learning information for parents to share.
