Duty to Defend

Rate this book
Does the Bible tell us that we must turn the other cheek to the home invader? To lie down and die rather than defend our lives or those of our loved-ones? Does it command us to own a gun? Here you will find the most common (and occasionally uncommon) Bible verses that are used in the gun debate. Each one has been carefully reviewed by an ordained Lutheran pastor who then puts the verse in the proper context to help you respond when you see these verses misused in the arguments over the Second Amendment.

Duty To Defend is an excellent resource for Christians to use when others attempt to convince us that self-defense is not condoned in Scripture. By the time you finish reading this book you will understand that not only is self-defense upheld in holy writ, but that it is the duty of Christians to defend the rights of others as well as one's self.
