I was lucky to receive an ARC for this book and was going to read just a few chapters today. I just finished another book and wanted to start on a new one. Little did I know this was a 'can't put this down' book.

The intro laid out the lore of this universe. I loved every part of it, especially the creation of Nature's Immortals. Dragons, Weres and Fae? Yes please. But it was the moment I met Dan Noble, ancient vampire, I was hooked. The way he was drawn to Nina I immediately thought...soulbond, yes this will be good. The draw between them was fun to see, even if Dan fought against it, but I have gone too far ahead.

After the intro we meet Dan who is looking for his meal for the week. Being a vampire in this universe means that there's a human side and a beast side. Dan has iron control and drinks bagged blood, a thing his 'beast' only agrees to if he feeds on a human once a week. After his meal he compels the person he drank from to forget him and then it starts over again. This time is different though. There's a scent that completely captivates him, his beast wants her desperately. The young woman isn't hus usual type but he decides to give in and make contact.

Nina was just sitting in a bar looking for jobs on her computer. Why did this handsome guy buy her food and drinks? Nope not today. She marches up to give him a piece of her mind only to find he feels safe and well she listens to her gut. When after a mindblowing night together he tells her that she is going to forget him she blows up in anger. Getting away from him she gets kidnapped in the parking lot when not long after Dan rescues her. He informs her of his nature, vampires...really?!? But more importantly he informs her of hers. Apparantly she is a Human Immortal, a being of immense power.

So now what?

Not going to spoil the rest of the plot, you truly need to read for yourself. That said I will talk about the characters.

Vampire-Man Dan (yes that's a thing in the book, yes it makes me giggle every time I read it) is a man who has morals, ingrained by his upbringing, and has made friends amongst Nature's Immortals. He intigued me from the start. Nina has a sad past and is feisty. She trusts her instincts and after she got over her disbelief is open to learning more about this new world. The thing they have in common is being a bit self-sacrificing.

They make a great pair and I can't wait to see what will happen next, cause that cliffhanged 😱😱😱

I find myself struggling lately to read YA romance. I’ve returned back to some I once really enjoyed and found myself a little soured on the whole thing, so this book wasn’t something I’d have normally picked up. I think it helped that Nina was a college student instead of a high schooler. I know there was a point in my life not long ago where this book would have called to me and I’d have read it in pure bliss. As a hardened adult, it did take me a little longer but the fun writing chiseled away at my heart of ice.

If you’re looking for a quick read and enjoyed twilight but thought the love triangle was played out, vampires aren’t always beautiful, and the thing it was missing was dragons and fairies, this might be a book to look into. It is an imaginative and different take on vampires, dragons, and weres. It's not the same old history behind them all which is refreshing.

The descriptions are wonderful. We are immediately shown that the MC is strong and quirky at the same time. She wants to pay for her own food even though a guy sent it to her to grab her attention. She eats nachos and drinks orange juice at the same time. Nina drinks a lot of orange juice, in fact 😊

**Spoilers below**

Dan is a very old, probably the oldest vampire in the world. Nina was orphaned and spent her childhood bouncing from foster home to foster home. She's now just an ordinary college student. Or is she? It turns out Nina is actually a Human Immortal. She gets to choose a mate and a new life as an amazing mythic creature. Either a Dragon, a Werecreature (several to chose from: lions, eagles, of course, wolfs), or Fae. They each have a space in the world that is uniquely theirs and untouched by humans where they live out their existence happy and free.

The mythology behind each is fun and different and Nina is full of funny one-liners like this one that had me grinning like an idiot: "He was magnificent—and really dumb".

The vamps are an interesting cross between old-school ugly vamps, Buffy vamps, and True Blood Vamps. They are ugly (old school) with claws and everything, but can change their appearance to look human (Buffy), and they have retractable fangs that appear when they are angry or horny and healing saliva (True Blood). His fangs are super long though, at one point they reach his chin. He must have drink carefully to not bite through people’s necks.

They can change into dust ‘from dust to dust’ Dan says, and at one point two vamps are fighting and they are shifting to and from dust and Dan scoops up some of Bad Vamp’s dust and closes it into a jar. When Bad Vamp changes back to a human shape, he’s missing an arm and part of the torso. Very clever. Never seen anything like this before. I really enjoyed this turn on the lore.

I'm a huge fan of Urban Fantasy, PNR And Vampires, this book has The perfect blend of all three. Let me start with The Cover, right on point For The book Title And story.. That's a huge plus since It's The opening card. Then once We start The book We dive into truly interesting mythology About, human immortals, Fae, weres And of course Vampires..
There's adventure, intrigue, passion, And The ultimate decision between Love or power that will be facing our main character Nina... What will she chose? You'll need to read to find out but If It were me I know I'll chose sexy Vampire Dan...
The rythmn of The story is fluid, once you start, you won't want to put It down.. Great side characters that I Hope will have their own story in The future. It's quite An entertaining read And I'm thankful to The Author For letting me review It.
Don't miss out on this great story For those Who Love our supernaturals adventures...

Book's name- Unveiling
Author's name- Zel Winter
Book's ratings-💫💫💫💫
Content-💫💫💫💫
Overall-💫💫💫 💫

Now this is a Fantasy read that has it all and leaves nothing to the imagination (Hint: Dragons & Vampires) The plot is totally bewitching with a dystopian concept which makes it an unputdownable read. Heads up as it is the first book in the series you may feel jittery for the next part.

Nina a human is everything Dan a primeval Vampire desires and he is more intrigued after their one night encounter as she seems to be immune to all his charms & super-powers. Before anything more can happen between them she has been kidnapped by some villainous creatures and she is equally clueless for the turn of events in her life. There are many things that she and Dan have to uncover and go through but they will be on the same side or opposite sides only time will unveil. Will this impossible match ever be successful? Defying the norms of nature & God’s creation what will be the climax of this roller coaster journey?

I want to talk so much about the book & its characters but I am limiting my words so that you can experience this surreal read for yourself. The language is lucid and the narrative is progressive adding all the right elements to the book with every character. The cover & the title compliments the theme of the book. You may draw some similarities with the Twilight series but being a fan of Paranormal Romance & Fantasy it did not irk me in any way.If you love this genre add this to your reading list right away.

INCREDIBLE READ

BOOK REVIEW

AUTHOR:- ZEL WINTER

FORMAT:- EBOOK

GENRE:- FICTIONAL BOOK

MY RATINGS:- 10/10

➡️ First of all I would love to appreciate and thank the author to give us all an incredible book like this. I mean I could imagine the amount of hardwork and skill that is required to write such a story. I am seriously just mesmerized by the story.

➡️ Hey readers, this is the first book by the author Zel winter and after reading this book she has become one of my favourite author. The story of the book is based on a very interesting aspect.

➡️ Right when the first chapter kicks off the author introduces, the readers with the three kinds of Nature immortals:-
1.) The Dragons
2.) The Weres
3.) The faes

➡️And at this moment I was so deeply into reading the book that I couldn't know where to stop, the book is such a page turner that you can keep reading it from the sunrise to the sunset without stopping.

➡️The book is really very engaging, the narration is such that you will feel that the author herself is speaking to you, at times you will not even realise that you are reading it or listening to it, because the book speaks to your soul and mind.

➡️The main character of the story are Dan noble and Nina wright, Dan is an old vampire and he is attracted to nina, and later suspects her to be a human immortal. The story has a lot of thrill and adventure. The story gets even more interesting after the attack by the dangerous vampires, the real thrill starts at that moment.

➡️The story is much more than what I can tell you here. So it will be much better if you guys , buy the book and start reading it and I can bet you will not regret this decision.

➡️ The book cover and the title both are really good. They both compliment the story line. The story is medium paced and you will not feel anything is less or more, everything is in balance.

Vampires, immortals, powerful mythical creatures and a thrilling story. Aren’t we all fans of fantasy genre? I won’t believe if you say that you’ve never watched any Netflix series or read any fantasy fiction which has vampires and other powerful creatures. If you haven’t, let me warn you, it’s addictive and you aren’t even aware on what you’re missing out. Grab this book, start reading and you’ll know.

This story revolves around Dan Noble, who is an old vampire, and Nina Wright, who is a human being, at least in the beginning. They met and spent a night together which was significant in many aspects. However, one night is enough for changing things around for these two characters. Being a vampire, Dan has exceptional powers but none of them worked on Nina. Because Nina is not only a university going student but perhaps a human immortal who has impeccable powers. He realized his love for her when few dangerous vampires kidnap her. There is a twist in the story when Nina has to make a choice between love and power. What will she choose? Read the book and you’ll know.

The author filled the storyline with tons of turns and twists. This is a real page turner and you won’t put the book down until you’ve finished it. Story telling was great and it kept me engaged till the end. It’s a thriller, fiction, fantasy, love story, etc.—a true power pack performance. The protagonist is a very well written character and we’ll get to see some real powerful moves in the story. The female character has its own voice and is commendably composed. The storyline remained intact throughout. I 100% recommend this book. MUST READ.

Unveiling
By - Zel Winter
Format - Kindle Edition
Print Length - 255 Pages
My Ratings - 4.6/5

💫Unveiling by Zel Winter is the Book 1 of the Mythical Creatures Series. The book is entirely enamoring, the depiction is with the ultimate objective that you will feel that the maker herself is tending to you, once in a while you won't comprehend that you are getting it or checking out it, because the book tends to your soul and mind.

💫This story spins around Dan Noble, who is an old vampire, and Nina Wright, who is a person, at any rate before all else. They met and went through a night together which was huge in numerous angles. In any case, one night is sufficient for changing things around for these two characters.

💫Being a vampire, Dan has uncommon powers however none of them chipped away at Nina. Since Nina isn't just a college going understudy however maybe a human unfading who has immaculate forces. He understood his adoration for her when not many hazardous vampires abduct her.

💫Above all else I was unable to need anything over to recognize and thank the maker to give us an extension book this way. I mean I could imagine the proportion of hardwork and capacity that is expected to create such a story. I am genuinely mesmerized by the story.

💫The creator filled the storyline with huge loads of turns and contorts. This is a genuine page turner and you won't put the book down until you've completed it. Narration was incredible and it kept me connected with till the end. It's a spine chiller, fiction, dream, romantic tale, and so forth—a genuine force pack execution.

💫The book cover and the title both are extraordinary. Both of them acclaim the story line. The storyline stayed flawless all through. I 100% suggest this book.MUST READ!!

Happy Reading😊

Author : Zel Winter @zelwinter.author

Rating : 4.8 /5🌟

👒Disclosing by Zel Winter is the Mythical Creatures Series Book - 1, that portrays the energizing skirmish of strong immortals and stunning romantic tale of two Dan Noble and Nina Wright.😍

👒I think the cover page of the book has been made quite well, which completly suits the title of this book "Unveiling".📕🎆

👒Dan Noble is an old Vampire, maybe the most seasoned on the planet. One night sneaking around, he is mysteriously attracted to an average looking college understudy.

👒 However, Nina Wright isn't as exhausting as she appears: she meets Dan's enchant with the charm of her own, and the two offer an exceptional evening.

👒At the point when Dan attempts and neglects to constrain Nina to fail to remember their experience, he speculates that she is no common human.

👒Furthermore, when a posse of savage vampires singles her out for an awful hijacking, he understands the young lady he has fallen head over heels for may possibly be a Human Immortal, a being of magnificent force.

👒Nina will have the option to recover her otherworldly endowments in the event that she picks a mate genealogy, Nature's Immortals: a Dragon, Were, or Fae.

✨This is a particularly incredible story that I delighted in alot.📖 .Furthermore, I need to state to all who like legendary animals story they should peruse it.📖💯

🌟Creator has depict the story well overall and I am extremely glad that I got an opportunity to audit a particularly fabulous story.📖🐾

🎀Much obliged to you @zelwinter.author to give me a decent occasion to peruse this book.Searching forward for the sequel.

Romantic and fun story loved it!!!

Warning this review may have spoilers.
(this is the first installment in a trilogy)

This story takes an unexpected fairy tale turn. The author brings a new hidden world to us that is governed by a council of elders, dragons, fae, werewolves, and vampires. I found this magical and romantic.

It also brought me some chuckles given the author has a good sense of humor to describe what happens after sleeping with a total stranger, except this one is an ancient vampire that thinks Nina is just another night stand. Except he is unable to erase her memory. Not a good start for our main characters.

This is mostly a love story. An impossible one at that. But I will let you discover the why or the how's of that. The characters are very relatable and likeable.

The plot story is engaging. Our villains and our opposing force in the story want Nina's and her twin sister's blood for power. Their blood line is that of a human immortal and becoming highly regarded mating material among the other paranormal clans.

While our protagonists resist the love they feel for each other, the male betting of the most prominent paranormal creatures is in process. Adorable!

The story is well written with no grammatical error or typos. A delightful 255 pages. I highly recommend this book. It made me forget I was overly toasting on the beach… LOL

My 2 cents for the author. I would like to see the author enriching and world building this fantasy world more. It is special and we want to see it on her upcoming books.

First of all a Very Happy New Year to you guys. May this year bring a lot of happiness and success to all of you. It has been a amazing start to this year so I couldn't wait to share my experience with you guys. So do you remember your teenage? Of course you do it's not something to forget right? You remember discussing stories you read with your friends, guessing the sequels, being amateurs guessing the wrong reasons of actions in the stories. Yeah I know the logics where far away from reality but it was fun. Those were our days and the book I read recently took me to my teenage. The story of which gave that nostalgic vibe. The book is called "Unveiling".
The cover as we all see gives a very dark vibe about the story and which definitely attracts viewers attention. Whereas the title "Unveiling" which means removal of Vein, what do you guys think is going to be in the story? Personally when I read the title it made me curious to read it and that's a good sign. I feel the title which gives curiosity read, which is relevant and easy to remember is the best fit and "Unveiling" is the perfect fit yot for the title. Overall the outer appearance definitely attracts the readers towards it and I would like to rate it 2/2 for the title and the cover.
Talking about the plot of the book, the storyline gives a very nostalgic vibe. You know why? Because it is written that way. When we read about Vampires the aura which is formed around is very darkish and is usually horror genre but this one is a light read. By light I mean it is perfect for readers who don't want to dip in the horror genre but just get an essence of it and enjoy the read. This is the quality which makes it a perfect fit for the teenagers. So basically the story is about Dan Noble is an ancient vampire, maybe the world's oldest. He is inexplicably attracted to a plain-looking university student one evening . Nina Wright, is not as dull as she seems but she meets the charm of Dan with her own allure, and the two share an unforgettable night. Not just this but when Dan attempts to try his tricks they do not work on Nina which makes him believe that she is no ordinary human. So who is she exactly? As the story progress we get to know more about Nina. She is a one with extraordinary abilities but to unite them she needs a partner like her but Dan likes her. Wait what? You guys are still here? I remember when I was at this point I was partially in tears because the emotions were real. This is a positive sign of writing and I would like to congratulate the author on the achievement that the words she wrote converted into emotions for the readers also I would like to thank the author for giving me such an experience through the book and I would definitely recommend it to all the readers. For the storyline I would like to rate it a 1.7/2 which is a highly recommended one.
Talking about the words and the language used in the book, in terms of difficulty personally I didn't face any difficulty while reading the book whereas the choice of words is something that is responsible for the constant flow of readers while reading and I would like to say that it is appreciable that this aspect of book is very nice done. The editor deserves a appreciation too for this kind of work. So what are you guys waiting for go grab your copy fast.

Here is a Noble to make it Wright

Have you ever wish there is more magical in our world than we see each day?

Well, tit's true.
And here is the great deal of proof provided by a wonderful novel by Zel Winter. Who, maybe, knows something about magic herself.

PLOT. The guy walks into the bar… well, actually, it was a diner, and the guy is not your regular neighbourhood guy. This one has also a pair of sharp fangs and a life experience of some hundreds of years. And in the diner, there is a girl. Here the adventure starts. And it is going to be a notable one!

The novel is written in magical realism genre. The very first thing I loved when started it was the author’s precision about details. You are literately transferred in that diner, and this transition is made smoothly, without any effort from a reader. How? Details. You see, hear, feel. You sense.

I also enjoyed the attentive description of the characters’ emotions. Okay, it’s just personal, I like action but emotions are my favourite part. So grateful to the author for them ! I had total connection with humans here. The structure of fantasy realm remained a bit unclear to me, cause I failed to find connecting points with the known mythologies. More questions to be answered in the next book of the series!

The most important thing for me in reading this book was… love. No, not the plot line. However, there are a few great ones here. But love that underlines all the narrative, all the world of this story. It’s like a material used to create it. Love is the soul of this story. And that was something special, that I rarely see, or better say feel from books.

Coming though challenging situations in reality, this story was my honest, dear escape that gave me strength. It might sound as a strange recommendation, but if you like fantasy and have something bothering you at a certain moment - take this book. You will have more love in your heart.

Waiting for the next book from the series!

I enjoyed Dan and Nina’s story. In this world, vampires remind me somewhat of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, the fae shapeshift into birds and there are a few human women with the gift to choose an immortal mate and take on their abilities and immortality. To me that sounds super cool! Dan has been tasked with seeking out these human immortals so that he can bring them to the immortal creatures and she can choose her mate. He didn’t count on falling in love. He believed that he couldn’t and wouldn’t be allowed to claim the immortal humans for himself. Now he’s in agony as he takes Nina and her sister to the immortals to choose their mates.
I give this story 4 enthusiastic stars. The story is good, the pace is fast and the characters are pretty likeable.
I am excited to find out what happens next for Dan and Nina!

Loved everything about this book!
5/5 Flower Review!
Zel Winter has written an excellent escape with this magical book about various mythical creatures. The story evolves around Dan, an ancient vampire, and his love for Nina, who is also an immortal, but what kind... a dragon, a fae, or a were? However, Nina must marry someone of her own kind to reclaim her powers. Will she find someone to marry? Will Dan get over his love for Nina? You must read to find out. I will reveal that this is going to be a series, and I look forward to the next book. The writing style was wonderful. The cover was captivating. I truly thought everything about this book was fantastic. Bravo Zel Winter! You have a true gift for writing.

I didn’t mean to read it all in one sitting... but I couldn’t put it down.

The uniqueness brought to classic legends/ myths is wonderful.
Fae, werewolves, dragons and vamps, all having their own unique gifts with elements as well as their classic traits and some not so classic.
Few human women that possess the immortal gifts of their ancestors hidden within them, potentially are the survival of these species.
The story was fast paced and you didn’t get bored between the pages.
Following Nina and Dan as they fight to figure out what’s between them is exciting.
I definitely look forward to what’s to come in the story!

Dan meets Nina and she is not what he expects, she is so much more than a regular human.  Nina is what he has been searching for... in more ways than one.

I love the way the author reveals this mysterious world a little at a time.  Couldn't help but adore Nina and Dan.  I would definitely recommend this book, it's not just a vampire romance, it's a full on supernatural tale with werewolves, fairies, sorcerers and dragons.

I can't wait for the second in the series!

This book was fun. It was interesting to see how all of the different creatures interacted. It was also interesting to learn what the different creatures lived like and their customs.

I really liked how the two main characters were with each other. They understood each other and worked well together.

I had been in a reading slump and this book got me out of it

Unveiling is book one of the Mythical creature’s series. The story primarily revolves around Dan and Nina’s love. It is filled with fairies, sorcerers, dragons and all things supernatural. I did sometimes think of the Twilight saga, with the whole vampire love. Nina is an immortal human twin and, Dan is an ancient Vampire. Nina believes Dan is his mate, and, slowly Dan begins to feel the same way. The love story becomes a complex dynamic story that intrigues the mind.

I found the romance to be timeless. There were many twists and turns in the story. I especially loved the cover design for the book. It represented its content. It is one of those books where you really don’t want to put down and read to its end.

Various mythical creatures are introduced in this story. The action and adventure elements were enticing, and I enjoyed reading this story.

I recommend this book to vampire love story fans.

Unveiling by Zel Winter is my first Vampire-Romance novel, and I must admit that I was impressed. I didn’t expect to like it, because that is not the type of book I would normally read. However, I became surprisingly engaged by the story and couldn’t put it down.

The story line moved quickly, even though there was a lot of background setting and information provided that was necessary to create this fictional world. I finished the book in two days, a quick read for me, and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

The cliffhanger at the end left me looking forward to the next book in the series with eager anticipation.

This book reminded me a lot of the Shade of Vampire series. It’s an interesting premise and I read it easily but some parts were too fast paced. Even now, having just finished it, I can’t remember certain details. I would have loved more time for Dan and Nina’s relationship to bloom and grow and I felt like a lot of large details were thrown in at strange places but overall, easy read with an interesting topic, if you’re into mythical creatures

As someone who isn't the biggest fan of anything vampire or werewolf or anything unreal because I have a hard time picturing it, I certainly enjoyed this story and adventure. I have read a few similar books over the last few months, and although still not my favorite, it is growing on me. The author did a great job keeping the reader captivated and interested, and I kept wondering about the story whenever I wasn't reading it, hoping it would end the way I wanted it to end. I did get my ending.

I was confused by the age rating and some of the stuff in the story, like the mentioned sex scenes. It didn't go into much detail, but I would not consider it appropriate for young teenagers. Although the foul language wasn't overwhelming and nonstop, it did bother me since I wasn't expecting the f-word in a book geared towards teenagers (12-17). The overall story was great, though, and I found the main characters like Dan, Nina, and Maya, very likable. I loved the chemistry between Nina and Dan and look forward to reading Book 2 when it gets released.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story, from the initial build-up to the climax. It was entertaining and fun throughout.

I loved Dan! I loved the descriptions of how he and the vamp inside him interacted and more times than not disagreed. I also quite liked Nina, but it was pretty hard watching her fall deeper and deeper in love with Dan and the vamp, separately and together, yet all the time knowing he would never be able to accept her.

The build-up of the world was great. The introduction describes how the Immortals came into existence and throughout the book, there are interactions between the Weres, Faes and Dragons all coexisting among each other as well as the humans which I really enjoyed. The first meeting with the Dragons sounded amazing, I don’t think I would think twice if I was offered a place in their kingdom, but the story plays out to the best ending, or at least I was happy with it. I am really looking forward to the next title in the series when it is released.

I really enjoyed this book! I’m not normally into paranormal fantasy books, but this one is really well written and the characters are engaging enough that I found myself unable to stop reading.
The prologue introduces the unique world building and explains how the different mythical races came to be. This was interesting, if not bit of an info dump, but it allowed me to understand what the characters were up against when the story began.
I loved the romance between Dan and Nina, and i really hope there’s more to come!

The story is very captivating. I was not able to put this book down until I finished it. I was so inspired after reading it that I composed a poem inline with the story but I needed to hold my enthusiasm and emotions so I don't spoil the fun for the other readers. I love how Zel described a vivid picture of the characters, places, and emotions of the main characters in story. I am looking forward to reading the second book. I can even imagine watching it in the movies too. More power to you Zel.

Dan is a vampire. Now, in this book his vampire side seems to be a separate entity, the vampire side can exist on bagged blood and animal blood, but insists on the real thing once a week! Dan agrees, but the victim has to be of his choosing. I get the impression, Dan likes them attractive, interesting and easy.

Nina is looking for a job on campus, it seems she wants to go to school in this area. But she’s running out of time, meeting a stranger and having a drink with him isn’t in the schedule, but one orange juice won’t hurt, and he’s a cute guy.

Meeting Nina in a bar, at first glance she is nothing like Dan’s usual type! But her smell is so unique and alluring that he decides she’s going to be his next meal!
But getting Nina to agree isn’t as easy as he thinks, she’s not sure, she feisty and she’s no fool.
But with a little charm and good luck they have a drink, pay her dorm fees and then decide on dinner......

I loved the mythology the author has created at the beginning of the book.
Who the mythical creatures are created, how the humans feared them, and now human females hold inside them great power.

We get they have sex, we don’t get the details, so I’d say it’s geared towards the YA bracket.

Dan tries to make Nina forget their time together, but for the first time ever it doesn’t work! But before he can figure it out, Nina is kidnapped!!
Nina is just wondering what the hell is going on, a drink with a total stranger and now she’s tied up and headed god knows where, could her day get any worse?

Dan manages to track Nina down. Rescues her, but now she’s frightened! She doesn’t understand why she was taken.
He now has the unpleasant task of telling her she’s an immortal and has gifts that no mere human has, but to tap into them she needs to mate with a supernatural, but one of her bloodline (were, fae, dragon)
Nina wants to know why she can’t mate a vampire, Dan is both pleased and annoyed (well the vamp side of him is annoyed) pleased she’s listening, but annoyed she’s not going to be with him!

Setting off to see the elders is the only course of action left open to Nina, she’s intrigued, who would’ve want to become immortal? But sad it won’t be with Dan! But who says she has to mate? It’s her choice, but her past is what motivates her to meet the elders.

It is a little immature in places (reminds me of the twilight series) as an adult I liked the premise, I thought the narration was good. An adult version probably would have been more graphic (sex scenes )
But I’m interested in finding out more in this world.

Meeting the elders is another level of weird. She’s being prompted to meet and mate! But Nina only wants Dan....

So can Dan and Nina really be together? It would be simpler to mate one of her kind, but that wouldn’t make for a good story now would it?
And the story is pretty good.
Written really well, descriptions jump out from the page.
Nina and Dan are really well thought out. Dan becoming dust to travel, using mind control and having a separate entity living inside him, some ideas are tried and tested, others are new ideas and really clever.

So sign me up for the next adventure, it’s going to be a good one I think.
Why? Well ..... no your going to have to read the book to find out why.

I reviewed this book for my blog tweetables.com and Unveiling starts by setting out the lore of the ALL, just over three pages detailing the history and creatures of this world, including Dragons, Weres, Faes, Immortals, Mother Nature, Sorcerers, Shamans – you get the idea. Now I’m a plot-first girl and wanted to meet the characters and get going with the story, so I had to curb my enthusiasm and absorb this part first - it’s information heavy but pertinent to the tale so I was glad I did!

Then the story begins and we meet Dan, a powerful, ancient Vampire who has powers such as being able to turn into dust at will (I’d like to do that!). I liked Zel’s version of vampires, as both the vamp and human dually inhabit one body, and this leads to some interesting (and fun!) friction between them. Dan’s vampire side mainly feasts on blood bags and animals but once a week he has a human meal and this is how he meets Nina.

Our nineteen-year-old heroine, Nina, is an orphan with a challenging past. She’s on the verge of starting university when she meets Dan in a bar, which leads to a sexual encounter. He feeds on her but when he tries to erase her memory of their fling, his usual practice to cover his tracks, it fails – what is going on?

This scene really had me grinning as there’s some great banter between them and it sets up their relationship beautifully. Nina’s feisty and independent; Dan’s moralistic, powerful and protective towards her. There’s a great dynamic here which I really enjoyed.

As the story progresses, Nina finds out that she’s a Human Immortal and through her eyes we learn more about what this means (although some of these conversations slowed the pace a little). It’s obvious that Nina’s life will never be the same again and we follow her journey to the Elders. There’s a problem though. She has to mate to gain immortality but it can’t be with a vampire. But she’s falling for Dan, so what will she do?

I’m not telling you the answer to that one – you need to read it for yourself! What I will say is that I enjoyed the story immensely. I liked the short chapters and Zel’s writing style, which is easy to read and has lovely touches of humour. The characters are likeable and the age of our heroine, along with the building love story, did make it feel suitable for the YA market too, although there is occasional swearing (but the sex isn’t graphic).

The story outcome is satisfying and I definitely want to know what happens next – thank goodness she’s working on a second book in the series as she’s left a great hook! The novel has a lovely feel and it’s a great debut.

I would recommend Unveiling to anyone who enjoys romance and/ or fantasy novels and I look forward to reading more of Zel’s work and seeing how her career progresses.

🌸 Starting from the cover and the title of the book which is very appealing and totally goes with the plot respectively. From the starting only it totally grabbed my attention. The book consists of 31 chapters and medium paced. I am really happy that i picked this book as it literally gave me a real experience and it seems like i was watching a movie. So coming to the story the two characters Dan Noble and Nina Wright , Dan Noble is an ancient vampire, the most experienced on the planet, maybe. Sneaking around one night, he is mysteriously drawn to an ordinary college-looking understudy. Nina Wright, however, is not as exhausting as she seems: she discovers Dan's enchantment with her own charm, and the two deliver an exceptional evening. When Dan tries and fails to convince Nina not to recall her past, he speculates that she is not an ordinary human being. After this moment the story became a complete page turner. Being very first book by the author i mean seriously hats-off to the author for writing such an incredible story. The way the author has presented everything i am really impressed. I don’t want to give any spoiler of this one as i want all of you to just go and read this amazing book. The characterisation has been done so effectively. Narration and writing style is easily understandable and decent , already excited for the sequel 📚.I highly recommend it to everyone out there.

Happy reading :) 🌸

Great potential

This has a lot of potential to grow into a good series. The premise is novel, as is the world building. It has vampires and weres and lots of interesting creatures. There is also a lovely flow in the writer's style.

However it could use some tightening in the delivery especially when giving background as it is heavy with information which then results in slowing the pace down too often for it to go unnoticed. This in turn results in the characters falling a little flat and all seeming a little too similar and creates some areas of contradiction or confusion in the plot.

More showing rather than telling and some more depth in the characters rather than their trying to make their stories do this for them and Nina and Dan might win a few hearts and not just in the YA category. It has a lovely feel and I would love to see what happens next.
