This is a short and factual, but quite dated book about Arlington National Cemetery. The most recent event on the timeline of the cemetery dates to 1986 and the book was published twenty years later. It just seems as though the most recent edition was published without an update.

For example, there's an application people can download to their phones that shows not only a map of the cemetery, but can help people find a specific grave. Also, people interred in the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier have been identified by DNA, especially for more recent conflicts.

A not-that-recent addition to the cemetery is the Women in Military Service for America Memorial at the Gateway to Arlington National Cemetery. This is not included in the book.

Finally, for almost thirty years, the organization Wreaths Across America has been honoring the people buried at Arlington (and other cemeteries) by placing a memorial wreath on each marker.

Overall, it's not a bad book, but it is in dire need of an update. I was
