Rivaling farm families, the Bridgewater's and Hearn's have not been on the best of terms for a long time but that just may not stop love. The families start to notice their interest in each other and try their best to discourage it.
A twisted romantic crime thriller series (Book 1) set in West Sussex and Ireland (Waterfall Way Series).
Love has a way of blossoming though despite the obstacles in the way.
A body is found then another, is there a serial killer on the loose?
When dark family secrets start being revealed chaos reigns supreme but when Julia realizes someone is watching her and just waiting she becomes afraid and very on edge.
The suspense is real and I couldn't read this fast enough.
I am glad I took a chance on this new to me author.
I definitely want to read the next book in the series.

Expected publication: December 18th 2020.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book. Thank you.

The characters were complex and had many secrets. That made me curious about the story. But I was not gripped by the writing and couldn't connect to main character. So it moved slow for me.
An okay read.

Review

I really enjoyed this book. Instantly my heart went out to Julia or Jules as she is known more frequently. Her mother has passed away and she works on the farm with her overprotective brother and grief stricken father.

The characters are really well developed and Jethro who is Seth's father gave me the real creeps. There was just something a bit off about him.

Jules and Seth's relationship is so beautiful, she has never been in love before and it is all so new to her. She is coming into her own as she is getting older and noticing the effects she has on the opposite sex.

This book focuses on families at war, harbouring secrets and putting the past behind you to build a stronger future. I am really excited for the second book in this series to be released soon.

58 Farm End is a fast paced mystery thriller that introduces the reader to the Bridgewaters and Hearns. They live on neighbouring farms but there is history and bad blood between the two families for years. When Julia Bridgewater meets Seth Hearn, sparks fly even though they are forbidden to see each other. Julia knows her heart and mind and chooses to do as she pleases even though her father and brother disagree.

We are introduced to a variety of characters in the Hearn family, a huge lot and rather suspicious. When Ivy Brown, Jake Hearn's fiance is found dead in the pond, at the far end of the farm, chaos ensues. Everyone has a shady past or story, everyone is hiding something. I particularly enjoyed how the story unfolded and the mystery unraveled. However, the ease with which Julia and Sean fall in love was a little difficult for me to adjust to.

The plot is well thought out and the characters are easy to relate to. The sibling dynamics between Julia and Peter is interesting and I like how they evolve and learn to understand each other and respect one another. There is a lot of heartbreak going around, but in the twists towards the end were brilliantly planned. The ending is unexpected and I like how this book leads on to the next one!

A well-written murder mystery, this book is a must read for all!

Thank you Netgalley for the advance copy of this amazing read. The story of two neighbouring farming families the Bridgewaters and the Hearns. Julia quickly falls for the Hearn's son Seth causing friction between the families. When Seth's brother Jake's fiancée Ivy is found dead floating in the silent pool Jules nightmare begins. This story has it all mystery, intrigue, dead bodies, heartache, romance, a crazed stalker, dark family secrets and a picturesque setting. A real page turner from start to finish. I can't wait for the next installment.

Once I started it, I found I just had to know what was behind all the strangeness that was unfolding, so it was a good long read over a couple of days!
The scene of unfolding intrigue drew me in, and it got really scary once I worked out who it was! A clever ending which leaves you anticipating a sequel.

Natasha continues her author journey with a step into the romance / mystery genres, with every bit as much success as she has had in chidren's and futuristic works. The mark of a skilled writer! 58 Farm End has perfect pacing and perfect balance between a budding romance and murder mystery. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 only because romance is not a genre I usually read - but Natasha might change my mind about that!

This wasn't a type of book that I'd normally read but I did enjoy it.

The ending wasn't expected but, I suppose as its a series, it needs a gripping ending to make you read the next.

I would recommend it to others. I received a complimentary copy of the book via Voracious Readers Only and I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.

58 Farm End, by Natasha Murray.

This was an enjoyable murder mystery which had me hooked from the very beginning.
After their mother died, Julia Bridgewater and her brother Peter went to live at Farm End. Their father was naturally grief-stricken by the loss of his wife and had neglected his duties on the farm, which was now losing money.

The story twists and turns as the lives of the residents of 58 Farm End, intertwine with their rivals, the Hearn’s at the neighbouring Crow Farm.
Julia meets the handsome Seth, and an endearing romance begins between them. But when an awful crime is discovered in the woods it casts suspicion, fear and jealousy among the two feuding families. Secrets, deceit, and conspiracy entangle the characters as the police mount an investigation as more crimes are committed.

An intriguing story which delves deeper into the darker and scarier side of human nature.
I will not say anymore as I do not want to spoil this thrilling story.

Recommended.

58 farm end by Natasha Murray.
After Ivy Brown is found dead in a silent pool at Farm End, Julia Bridgewater and Seth Hearn, from two rival farming families, declare their love for each other.
A brilliant read. Great story. I liked Jules Seth and Peter. Jake grew on me. I had a feeling about who it was. I was right with who the stalker but was wrong with who the killer was. I'm looking forward to the next book. 5*.

Very scary book with unresolved. Mystery twist at the very end

I was terrified trying to figure out who the villain was and whether Jules and Seth were going to escape all the dysfunctional people around them! Then, at the very end a villain you may have never considered is still out there planning to figure out how to get hold of Jules again!

It's been a while since I've read a book I can't put down and "58 Farm End" is that book. I loved the story and really connected with the main characters, and yet there was always the underlying feeling that some dark secret could change everything.
It really kept me wanting to read more.
I thoroughly recommend it and can't wait to read the second book in the series.

BOOK REVIEW 📖
🚜Thank you to @natashamurray1426 for kindly gifting me not only this novel but also the second in this thriller series.
It is important to know that the novels need to be read in order as I am not sure if you could read the second without the first one laying out the setting and back story.

🚜The blurb intrigued me and the story begins immediately without too much preamble which I found worked well however I did find that the romance between Seth and Jules began somewhat quickly and proceeded at light speed through the story which seemed to be spread only over a month or so. Although the pace of their relationship matched the story, for me this made their relationship lose a little of its authenticity and I began wondering whether this would happen in real life?

🚜There were plenty of twists and turns in the story which kept the action going and although the novel is partially wrapped up at the end, the reader is left eager to read the next installment.

🚜I would have liked the author to have delved a little deeper into both families history so that maybe you could understand why they did the things they did (this may have been addressed in later installments however at the time of writing this review I have only read the first)

🚜Having said all that, I am interested to see how the story develops.

My thanks to the Author publishers and NetGalley for providing me with a Kindle version of this book to read and honestly review.
I am fairly sure I am not the target audience for this book, but this 63 year old grumpy Yorkshireman thoroughly enjoyed it. What for the most part is a gentle sweet coming of age love story, has a distinctly darker side. As 'Jules' our heroine comes to terms with the loss of her mother and living in a run down dairy farm with her father and brother, she meets and falls for the 'bad boy' next door. Well written atmospheric descriptive and full of old fashioned romance almost twee, but suddenly totally out of the blue and unexpected like a slap in the face, there are violent interludes assault attempted rape murders past and present, and just when this experienced whodunit reader thought he knew where the story was going, the Author completely twists it around. As for me a slightly disappointing ending began to take shape, it quickly became understandable from the Author's point of view as I quickly realised we were looking at at least one follow up book, which I for one look forward to.
Totally thoroughly recommended.

I was given a free copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review through Voracious Readers Only.

I am finding this to be a difficult review to write and am struggling to compile my thought on this book. I found Jules to be an ok main character. She was just a normal 19 year old girl going through a pretty tough time, she was a little silly and naive but I could forgive her of that. Seth, on the other hand, was a little crazy. His pursuit of Jules was a bit too close to stalking and there really was no need to bring up the fact he was in prison every conversation, not to mention his temper. If Jules was my friend I would have told her to run a mile, Seth was oozing red flags. The two of them nearly made me put the book down in the beginning.

The mystery portion of the novel was what kept me reading on. The drama and suspense were really excellent. Once I got pulled into trying to piece together what happened to Ann and Ivy I got hooked then just when I thought I had it figured out the final page threw me a curve ball and had me questioning it all again.

From the very first page, this book had me hooked! The writing is atmospheric and tense, pulling me deep into Julia’s world of family struggles, forbidden love, and a chilling mystery that kept me guessing until the very end. The mix of farm life, family drama, and suspense was beautifully done, and I felt completely invested in Julia, Seth, and the secrets surrounding Farm End.

The pacing is perfect, fast enough to keep the tension high, yet detailed enough to really flesh out the characters and their emotions. The romance between Julia and Seth felt natural and heartfelt, while the underlying danger gave every chapter a sense of urgency. The murder mystery of Ivy Brown added another gripping layer, and the twists took me by surprise more than once.

This book is more than just a thriller, it’s also about resilience, love, and the way secrets can haunt generations. I absolutely loved it and cannot wait to dive into the next book in the series. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys twisty, character-driven thrillers with a touch of romance!

Grand read

Murray pens a grand, suspenseful story in 58 Farm End. I have read work from this author before, and I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the plot of the story, how it mixes romance and thrilling suspense. I like the backdrop of the story, which plays more than just a place to live. Siblings Julia and Peter are trying to not only save their failing farm, but find a new life, and opportunities. The characters are realistic and magnetic. It's a grand story, and the author writes for the characters well. I think the characters lead the plot and it's very well developed, not just in plot, but the characters as well. There are a lot of unanswered questions that bring the reader in the story. It is always a joy to read this author's stories. An enjoyable journey. I look forward to reading many more stories by this author. 58 Farm End is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.

Two families lived beside each other on their farm land. The were always taught to not associate with each other , kind of like the Hinkles and the McCoys. But low and behold the young girl Jules and Seth , a few years older seem to have found each other and started to fall in love. Seths reputation wasnt good. Jules lived with her dad and brother on their dairy farm. Her Dad did not want her near Seth at all. Seths extended family , most of them werent what they acted like. A young girl Ivy is found drown in one of their ponds. She left a party real drunk. Suspicioun was on all the guys of the families. Later another lady Ann was soon found in the same pond drown too but she has been dead for many years. It gets kinda crazy then with lots going on. Who can Jules really trust? She loved Seth but is he guilty of any of these crimes or was it one of the other family members. Ireland here we come - but who?

Firstly I just want to give so much love to this cover as it is gorgeous and fits really well with the book; it's such a shame it's been changed!

I really really enjoyed the mystery/suspense side of this book and was surprised that I hadn't managed to 100% figure out who had done it and why! I do wish the synopsis hadn't given so much away (but this is why I tend not to read them).

I adored the setting of this! I love reading about farm life; I don't know if that's because I'm now a country girl or because I loved Carole Matthews' Happiness For Beginners series so much!

For me however, the dialogue felt a little wooden and the romance side of it just seemed a little bizarre; I'm a big romance fan but I like more build-up before everyone falls in love.

However overall I did enjoy this and wanted to keep picking it up and reading it. And if I didn't have so much on my mind then I would have read it a lot quicker. Looking forward to reading the sequel.

58 Farm End by Natasha Murray

A fast paced book - murder intrigue feuding families star crossed romance and ultimately a stalker. Nothing about these families is what it seems. A very good story line.

The strong characters, family relationships, the dark secrets and lies long buried slowly start to unravel when the main character’s brother’s fiancé is found murdered. There eventually seems now to be a serial killer on the loose who is now stalking the main characters. The only person she can turn to for support is the feuding families son. Will the blossoming romance ever survive- no spoilers given.

Good book with a reasonable end but obviously a little wanting as to encourage you to read the next chapter in the series. So I ultimately feel it isn’t a stand alone story as far I’m concerned. It left me feeling a little short changed for such a good book. There are many avenues that could have be followed for the story I feel a better end could have ensued. 3.5/5

Firstly I'd like to state that I received a complimentary copy of this book from Natasha Murray via Voracious Readers Only

It took me a bit to warm up to this book at first, but then I found that is it actually a really good story. It's endearing and has some very adorable romantic moments, as well as some dark and twisted secrets mixed in.
It wasn't all that hard to figure out who the bad guy was, but nonetheless, it was still captivating enough to want to devour all of the story and see how it's all handled.

I did find it confusing at first as to what time period the story was set in, as it had an 18th century kind of vibe and storytelling to it. I think may have been from all the dialogue - the way the characters talked and responded, and some of the old fashioned way of workings- that gave me that vibe. As it just seemed proper and old-school and not how people seem to respond and behave in modern times.

But it was a delightful read.
