I liked the ideas but the instructions in this book made me feel so dumb. Absolutely nothing I tried to make looked remotely like the pictures. I ended up with crumpled pieces of paper, a badger without eyes, a snake with an upside down mouth, and a number of other horrifying creations. I haven’t really used origami instruction books before, so maybe it’s just my inexperience. Normally I just use videos, but I feel a little upset by how vague the pictures and wording were. If there were videos that accompanied the book or something, it might have worked out for me. So much would be solved if they even told you what orientation to keep the paper at consistently instead of just in the first step. There’s a little H on the back of blank pages, so it would be so easy to just keep the H on the page every time you show the back.

It also doesn’t matter if you leave it unfolded or what you do to the paper, the House Elf page is absolutely terrifying.
