I hated Rae. Girl was beyond stupid and stubborn for her own good. I honestly thought Clint deserved better. And Rae's family was more tolerable and entertaining than her.
Sigh, I loved their chemistry. Even though I thought Clint and Rae were not a good match, but otherwise the romantic thriller aspects fit in well, and everything was all peaches and cream afterwards. I wish I could comment more on the romance part...but it just wasn't good, so yeah.

Raegan's life has really hit her hard as of late, and after going through a mean divorce, she comes home to help out her sick mother since her sister has died. It's not long at home when Clint, the man who broke her heart, walks into the house since he has a key, and she's not happy about that at all. He broke her heart and he never got in contact with her again when he couldn't compromise with her. She never contacted him again because his mother provided a kill shot that had her running into the arms of her future bad husband. And he had my back up when he acted like she was the only one in the wrong so I was #TEAMRAE. Now she's home learning that he's part of her mother's life big time, and while she's not happy about it, the sparks are flying everywhere. However, someone is targeting Rae which has the twists coming in hot as I tried to figure out who & why, and it finally comes to light that Rae's sister didn't just die, but she was murdered so that danger means business. Will Clint be able to keep her safe?! And will they finally get the past worked out for a future finally?! You'll have to hit those one click buttons to find out!

I’ve wanted to know Clint and his story ever since he first hit the page, and I was NOT disappointed. He and Raegan had a distant past full of hurt to work through, and doing that while grieving AND trying to figure out what exactly is going on made for quite the ride. Raegan wanted to stay the course by avoiding Clint, Clint wanted to hold onto his anger over the past, and someone sure seems to want Raegan out of the way. But why? And holy cannoli, could Clint’s mother be any more perfect? She was so stereotypically nasty as a boy mom, but when she’s called on it, she saw the light (which is so more than some mothers ever do)....and she made me crave empanadas. So much.
I didn’t want to put this book down because I had to know it all. I had to know who was behind the danger, who the intended target truly was, and why. I loved how Clint picked his course and didn’t deviate even once. I loved how Raegan didn’t want to let past hurts impact the now, but she also wasn’t about to be a doormat. And I really loved how they came upon their HEA. This was a great end-for-now for this series and left me wishing that more was on the way soon.

This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Clint and Raegan’s story. Raegan is newly divorced when she returns to her hometown to take care of her mom, and the last person she expects to see is Clint. These two have a history and it is not all hearts and roses, there is heartbreak and anger. There is an undeniable attraction between them still, and when Raegan’s life is targeted Clint is determined to protect her. This is a beautifully written tale which is talented author has done a fantastic job in weaving, and this is an emotionally charged storyline, with danger, suspense, intrigue, and is a poignant 2nd chance romance story. I look forward to reading more from this author whose work I highly recommend.

I haven’t read the first two books in this series yet and don’t feel that they are needed to read Clint and Reagan’s story. It can definitely be a standalone.
Their story is one of multiple tragedies. The lose of their relationship years ago over stubbornness and failure to communicate. Then the loss of a loved one that brings them back in the same town as each other.
They both had growing up to do and I think it helped them to make it this second time around. It sucks that they had to be apart to make it now but their love is never ending and this book proves it.
This isn’t just a romance. It’s a mystery as well. There is a murder and they are smack dab in the middle of it. They have to survive the unknown villain in order to get their HEA so be ready for a crazy ride.

Amazing read! If you love second-chance romance with a dash of mystery and suspense with a delicious hero, you will ABSOLUTELY LOVE this!!!
This is my first read of the author and I am in for a ride.
I can't stop reading once I start. Clint and Reagan are impossible to ignore. Their chemistry is undeniable, they can't stay away from one another. The second-chance element is strong here. Not to mention, the mystery and suspense elements give the story more edges.

Karen Renee delivers another great story, this time a second chance at love. Clint has appeared in other books in the O Town series and has been intriguing from the get go. This story grabs you from page one and takes you on a beautiful, difficult journey along with the main characters. This is not a flimsy, quick read. There is emotional depth and care that so many books are missing. I look forward to the author’s next work!

This is such a good introduction to the author's writings for me. I really enjoyed this book. Second chances have always been my favorite trope, so maybe I'm biased. But regardless, Clint and Reagan's story is beautifully written. Their chemistry is undeniable so that was definitely a plus. This story just grabs you from the very first page and would continue to hold your attention till the end.

Clint and Reagan have chemistry that is off the charts and to get a second chance at it.... fantastic. Heartbreaking that tragedy is what brings them back together but hopefully they’ll realize this time and hold onto on another. And if they can solve her sister’s murder even better!

I really enjoyed this one. So exciting. An old ex returns, a kidnapping, physical attacks, old friends become something more, traitors are revealed, an ex surprises her, an old friend turns traitor, a family reunites. It’s exciting. HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger.

I was so excited to see that we were going to get Clint's story, since his character was introduced I was intrigued. Boy what a story this turned out to be! This felt like non-stop action, the perfect amount of drama, some heartbreak, nice naughty bits; Clint and Reagan were meant to be together and it felt like fate (or her mom) kept making sure they were thrown together. I was not expecting the story that we got, we got so much more! I give this 4 stars.

Clint and Raegen are reunited after a decade apart. Clint's family is not supportive, Raegen's mom is. This book has everything, murder, danger, forgiveness, love, and a second chance. Raegen is truly amazing.
