We are convinced that our professional summaries will introduce more readers to the full book who otherwise would have turned a blind eye by the sheer commitment. Our intention is sincere in that readers could use this summary as an introduction or a companion to the original book, not as a substitute.

The author of the Summary, Rui Zhi Dong, pointed out that this book is "what may be one of the most important books of our times." He should have noticed that Ray studied only four cases - British, Dutch, American, and Chinese. That is only 4 data points. And we know hundreds of nations. It is very well known in statistics that generalizations on a short series are mostly untrustworthy.
