Upon hearing her scream, the most handsome man in all of Colonial Williamsburg rushes to her rescue.Orlando Blake, the dashing revolutionary reenactor Paige has adored from afar for months, tenderly comforts her. He says the attacker was Jackey; the harmless, if angry, ghost of a formerly enslaved woman. After recovering from her initial terror, Paige finds herself hoping to help the lost, lonely spirit who suffered as a slave in life. She returns to Williamsburg after dark to search for Jackey. Orlando insists on tagging along so she won’t be afraid.Jackey appears and speaks with the two, and they gradually form a friendship. Paige enlists the help of another Williamsburg employee, a reenactor who portrays a slave, to help Jackey in her struggles to cross over. As a Black man, Anthony understands the pain Jackey has endured better than Paige and Orlando ever could. As Paige’s adoration for Orlando blossoms into love, she doubts the hugely popular, handsome playboy could ever fall for a plain woman like her. Meanwhile, Jackey and Anthony have fallen in love even though the veil between life and death separates them.Is there any hope for a happy ending...for anyone?Click Follow to find out about the latest releases from this author.

I'm really enjoying this series. The author really seemed to do a lot of research on the past of Williamsburg which I enjoyed. I googled more after reading her books and it was quite accurate. It was also an extremely sad part of our past and hard to read at times about slavery. I loved Jackey's character. She was spunky and outspoken. I truly enjoyed watching her fall in love with Anthony along with the love story of Paige and Orlando. It was woven so well together along with the beautiful friendships.

Never really liked romances until I read this author.

I totally enjoyed this book! I've read the Gettysburg ghost
series paranormal romance and have one more in this
series. I absolutely love them! They're so much fun with
the drama, romance and humour. For me, especially, the
ghosts that return to life and find love. This is a fantastic
series as is the Gettysburg paranormal ghostly romance.
Well worth reading!!!

Another fantastic series from Linda Fausnet. Again she does an absolutely fabulous job of bringing you to Williamsburg and bringing that time period to life while being in the modern world. The love story was heartbreaking and from the first page you are rooting for the MC's to be together. This series and her Gettysburg series is one I will be fore ever rereading.

Sweet and Spicy Read

A wonderful story that depicts the hardships of slavery, but shown through the memories of a strong and brave woman. Through in some handsome guys and you have a love story you can't put down. Linda Fausnet does it again.

This one was so sad and yet so good!

Amazing writing and storyline! You can't help but stutter at times in this one, the author leaves you wondering if your own family history would show slave owners... Beautiful ending!
