Noburo wants to become a Ninja, but has no confidence in himself to become one. He sits in his grandma's lap and she tells him of a story of a little boy who always doubted himself. His mom in the story encouraged him to think differently. He started thinking differently and became hopeful and full of confidence. He became what he wanted to be. This story that grandma told encouraged Noburo as well and he gained the self-confidence so that his determination would lead him to become an awesome Ninja. I loved the helpful self-confidence tips in the back of he book as well. Encouraging our little ones and helping them to take ownership of their self-confidence will set them up for success in life.
There is power in what you believe about yourself. How do see yourself? What vision do you have regarding your life? This book teaches the power of believing in oneself. It builds self-esteem and confidence. It only helps when you have a parent or loved one who believes in you as well. I love the message of self-confidence that this book gives and the affirmation at the end of the book.
I personally liked how Noburo learned important life lessons from her Grandma’s story and I think that the story can help children and adults alike to feel more confident and accomplish a lot of great things in life. I also liked how Grandma gave concrete examples of how to become more confident. This book belongs to every child’s bookshelf.Check it out!
A sweet story that teaches our children to believe in themselves. My youngest son enjoyed the story and the wonderful illustrations. (He likes the idea of becoming an astronaut!). (I did have to remind him NOT to put a stool on the countertop to reach a jar of jam though!) 🥴 He wants to read it again for his bedtime story tonight, so it’s a thumbs up from us. A+++++
I liked how the story starts off with having the most awful day which makes him lose his confidence, but he feels great in the end as his nanna makes him believe that everything you wish you can be is achievable. A good life lesson, I thought the illustrations were also first class.
It’s great to see a book about self-confidence featuring little boys. I love how it showed the little boy opening up to his grandma and her response was perfect. I think a lot of grandmas would just dismiss a child’s desire to be a ninja this one took the opportunity to teach him a lesson on self-fulfilling beliefs.
A cute kids book about growing self- confidence. I particularly like the moment when his mom chose to build his confidence and told him to be proud of himself. It shows how important the parent's perspective is to a child's reality.
A great book about what makes you a ninja and believing in yourself even if you think things aren’t going as planned. Love how his grandmother is who made him realize how special he was and that he only had to realize this.
My son is into ninjas and this was the perfect book. He learned that you can be anything you want to be if you are confident in who you are. We will be reading it again and again!
Self confidence is vital at any age and I believe it’s rooted when we are young. This is a great book for teaching children to believe in themselves and who they want to be regardless of the circumstances. I can’t wait for the next book!
I read it with my 4 year old.. and her words was “ fantastic” ! A good book to encourage children to believe in themselves and dream big! Colourful illustrations which will keep kids engaged and interested.
We don't talk to our kids enough about the power of speaking your goals into existence. This book gives a playful spin on the powerful tool of affirmation. I would recommend this book to any child needing encouragement with their self esteem.
I like this story. Number 1, grandmoms are awesome and do tell the best stories and number 2, I like the message about confidence. Now to read the next book and find out more about the ninja.
Noburo has big dreams. His grandma provides some guidance in how it can happen. I love the demonstration of self confidence that will radiate with other children.
This sweet book with nice illustrations teaches young children to believe in their selves and in doing so will build confidence that will help them in everything they do.
Not a story about Noburo becoming a ninja but his Nana telling him a story about another kid gaining confidence and teaching Noburo to have confidence in himself too. The illustrations are great and a good book for kids.
It’s important for children to build their self confidence! This book uses a story inside a story to help children learn the importance of believing in themselves! Ninja is a popular figure, which makes kids more motivated to read the book too.
This is an easy read about children building and having confidence in themselves. I liked that the grandmother helped him with the confidence, and the affirmation activity in the back.
A lovely story on believing in oneself and growth mindset. The grandma tells Noburo a story to build up his confidence and to inspire him to dream big. Illustrations are good and complement the story. An easy read for kids with a great life lesson!
This book does a great job at providing a confidence boosting story while keeping relatable themes for children. There’s also a positive affirmation at the end which can be useful for children struggling with confidence.
This children's book has the theme of self confidence and belief in yourself. Noburo's gran tells him a story of Thomas, a young boy who didn't believe in himself and things didn't go right for him.
I think this book will appeal to boys mostly but it's a good one to use to teach children that if they believe in themselves they can achieve great things.
This is such a cute idea for a story. It’s true which makes it even better. You are what you believe so dream big! My son loved this book as much as I did and we both loved the pictures!
