Who doesn’t want to know the secrets for finding or creating your dream job? This is my new go-to book to recommend to anyone who feels like they are stuck in career rut or want something more than their current job offers. Lisa Lewis Miller took her years of experience as a career consultant working with hundreds of people and condensed her proven expertise into this handy guide. Unlike other guides, this looks at the whole process: the self-reflection to determine what type of job is a best fit, the process to get your foot in the door in a new company or industry (it’s more than scouring job boards!), and how to routinely check that your job is a good fit. This is an easy read with lots of practical and discerning questions to return to again and again— highly recommend.

Whether you are in a job you hate or enjoy your job but feel something is missing, this is the book for you. This is one of the most practical and action-oriented career books that you’ll read with amazing reflection questions to consider at the end of each chapter. I also love that with Lisa’s framework, you can put in the work now, and continue to iterate and use the system for years to come. We all deserve careers that we love, and Lisa gives you the framework and tools to discover exactly what that looks like for you. Highly recommend!

This was a well thought out book to help with career decisions. I initially thought it would be quite corporate centric but was surprised by some of the more philosophical and psychological approaches it took.
