BK is a pen name for a couple of good friends who love reading a good mystery and are as cheeky as they come. Murder She Wrote was one of their favorite childhood shows and there wasn't a day that went by that they were getting into trouble looking for a mystery in the neighborhood to solve. With a ton of ideas and imagination, you're in for a funny wild ride.
They live in Texas and enjoy BBQ and sweet tea more than anyone should become aware of!
Sir Chonksworth the Bold is a brilliant detective. It’s because of him and his investigations that I had this one figured out before Jade did. Now, that did leave me a tiny bit frustrated that the human portion of the sleuthing contingent hadn’t picked up on the clues quite so quickly, but Jade and the rest of the quirky residents of Beulah are just so darned entertaining, that I was perfectly happy to sit back and enjoy the ride. And, it’s looking like Chonks might already have another mystery on his paws that needs looking into. Whatever the case, I can’t wait until it’s time for us to come back and join my new favorite feline detective and his people as they uncover more of the secrets hidden in this irreverent small southern town. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
The Cat Of Monte Cristo by B. K. Baxter Chonks the houdini escape artist feline is on the case sniffing out the clues to Beulah’s newest mystery. His olfactory sense gives him the advantage over his humans sleuthing. I enjoyed Chonks antics as well as his ability to communicate with Jade that leads them to prevent a death.
Jade tries to stay out of the fray when the town’s mayor faces competition of a councilwoman in his re-election bid. Since mudslinging is the only game in town, both sides are trying to outdo each other. Chunks plays a big part in solving the mystery. Very well written. Hope there will be more soon for this series.
Love this cat! Again, he was the key to solving the case. You will enjoy the clues and the speed with which the plot moves, as well as getting to know the characters.
That cat really had me on edge all the way through this book. I loved this story line! Had lots of drama and plenty of humor. Chonks makes a great detective and I hope this series will continue.
Loved these books! They are fun reads, and I so enjoyed reading them before I went to bed. A little mystery, fun characters, and an adorable cat makes for a delightful evening! Enjoy.
IDK why this one took me longer to read - it was a cute story and completely representative of the cozy mystery genre. I think I just want a little more meat to the story (and not so much narration from the cat's perspective).
