Only One #3

Only A Guy

Rate this book
He’s only a guy. Just a guy…

Only he’s not. I’ve been in love with Zach since I was seven years old. He was the boy next door. He’s my best friend. It’s not like I can bust out the I Love Yous without ruining the most important relationship of my life. But there are only so many subtle hints a girl can drop! I’m about to lose hope.

Funny thing about that. Sometimes, it’s at the most unexpected times that you find out the truth. Like when you’re binging on cake on the kitchen floor.

You have questions? Pick up a fork to join me. There’s plenty of cake to share.

I really liked it!!! Spice is starting to grow on me as a writer and I am enjoying every bits of it.

~ Friends to lovers trope
~ Secretly has eyes for each others
~ Each other's one and only
~ Hea Achieved

Now, you are wondering why I rated this with three stars despite loving and devouring the story like a champ. It was bc, it was short. Yes, I hope to read full-length novel from spice with DV someday!!! I just felt like there is more potential in their relationship, like worthy to add chapters with. Nevertheless, this is a hit for me! Please hear my prayers spice-authornim~ 🙏 🤣✨

Edit : Second Reread 05/13/2024

I liked this even more on my second reread!
I really love how they are each other's first and only in everything even kisses 🖤🥰

“You are mine. You have always been mine.”

So, it's no secret how in love I've been with Spice since the first book. I'm currently doing a mass re-read of every book they've written, and feel just as happy and excited reading them now as I did when they were first released. I guess I missed leaving a review the first time around, so I'm fixing that now.
If you're just starting to read Spice, you're in for such a treat. If you follow my reviews and seem to like reading what I like, you're gonna love this author.
This story had it all. It was sweet because they've been best friends since they were 7/8, it was swoony because it was shown throughout the story how they both were each other's everything and would do anything for each other, it was smexy, even though it was both their first times (this author can wonderfully write the spit out of dual virgin) and it was funny. I loved the banter between the two. It was cute and funny and just such a great little insta-love story. Hope you check it out and enjoy.

So sweet! This friends to lovers is incredibly sweet and kind of fun. The kind of fun that comes from a couple that has been friends for so many years and know each other so well. I really enjoyed an uncomplicated love story for a change that really wound up being more about the anticipation than anything else. It was really good! And fun!

Cute, quick

This over the top college romance is really just okay. It’s a cute quick read, with a guy throwing money around like it means nothing to him. This best friends to lovers story is pretty basic, if you’re looking for a pick me up after a heavy read this will give you that feel good feeling you’re looking for.
