Bitsie's Bakeshop Mystery #4

Banana Cream Murder

Rate this book
Sometimes, baking gets a little too competitive. Occasionally, it turns deadly.
When Bitsie is confronted by a faded celebrity baker claiming that Bitsie has stolen the woman's prize banana cream frosting recipe, Bitsie tries to shrug off the incident as being the ravings of an unhinged has-been.

But instead fading from view, the frosting-obsessed eccentric becomes the central figure in not one but two suspicious deaths in Little Creek.

Joined by her semi-retired police officer brother, Stan, and her too-handsome-to-be-real bakeshop assistant, Nick, Bitsie uses her natural nosiness to see that justice is served, and no sweet-tooth in Little Creek is left unsatisfied.

a fun small town mystery read

Bitsie has a confrontation with one of the towns well known cookbook authors over a new frosting she introduced. Before that settles down the author’s twin sister is found dead in her basement. It is ruled an accident but Bitsie keeps digging. She eventually solves it with a surprise ending

The best of the batch

I have enjoyed the whole series! I'm relatively new to self-pub cozy mysteries so I found this one in particular to be full of twists that had me on the edge of my seat. I hope the author writes more of these!

Cute series

I enjoyed the ease of reading this series. The characters kept to their roles predictably. Going through a crisis this series was just what the doctor ordered.
