The Academy of Elements Box Set

Rate this book
Welcome to Clearwater Academy—a magical school on an isolated island in Washington State, where those with the power to control the elements learn to hone their skills. Get ready for a quad squad of over-the-top guys willing to protect the prophecy at any cost, a trio of unbelievably mean girls who go out of their way to make the heroine’s life hell, a duo of bumbling yet frightening dark elementals on the hunt, and a single snarky heroine who’s destiny it is to save a world she knows nothing about. The adventure begins in SPARK OF FIRE, where the quad squad partner with the heroine to battle a seriously demented dark elemental who believes he’s the supreme being, and she’s the only one standing in his way. Marked as the prophecy, she must stop his quest for world domination before it’s too late.It continues in WRATH OF WIND, where the academy brings in a famous elemental who’s not what he seems to train the heroine using unconventional (and illegal) means to battle an even darker elemental—him. He’s after the prophecy, and she and the quad squad are the only ones who can stop him.In RAGE OF STORMS, with the shocking return of someone from the heroine’s past, the influx of magically enhanced students destroying her academy, and a darkness that’s out of control, the heroine has her hands full. Add in the breakup of her quad squad and life at the academy just got even messier. It all comes to a striking conclusion in FURY OF EARTH, where the heroine and her guys leave the academy in search of magical legends to help them save the world from the dark elementals that have infiltrated the academy. It’s the battle to end all battles, the ultimate good vs. evil, and only one side can win. It’s win or die at Clearwater Academy—so hold on tight! You (and your Kindle) are in for a wild ride!

DNF

I did finish the first book, but had to stop there. There are so many books out there where the heroine finds herself with powers and sent to a school, but in this one she goes to school and learns she is the chosen one or the prophecy. She skips all her beginner classes and they throw her in some random classes. Her main teachers are her “hawt” boyfriends that teach her through mediocre sex (kiss, insert tab A into slot B = earth shattering orgasm that gives her complete control of one of her powers 🙄) It was like looking into a prepubescent boy’s mind. Every thought running through Katy’s head related to sex. One scene she is in shop class and goes to find her men and she “found them toward the back of the shop, all hunched around large lengths of wood. Wait. That came out wrong.” She is always laughing at some stupid thought like that. I mean she is supposed to be 20 years old but acts and thinks like a horny teen. Anyways. I did finish book 1 and considered continuing because I normally don’t like cliff hangers but this one I’m fine with. She masters her powers. Defeats her villain and lives to fan girl over her 4 hawt boy toys. I’m done.

didn’t finish

I didn’t like anything really about the first book. The fmc is TERRIBLE. She does so many stupid things. She’s mean and snarky. Has no clothes for a majority of the book for some reason. Her protectors keep taking her inside the wards to be attacked. For her to connect with her powers, she HAS to be intimate with her protectors?? Wtf??? She’s also been given cannabis pills since she was 9…do you have any idea what that can do to a kid who doesn’t need them medically?? Just no…there’s no real development to any of the characters. I felt more for the bronze statue than the people. Also, why wouldn’t she just use the light against Alec? It works make his powers obsolete and yet she doesn’t…so inconsistent. Finished book 1 and started book 2…I couldn’t do it. It was clear the author hadn’t done anything to change the way the books were headed and I’m not forcing my self to read over 1000 pages to complete a series.

What the f?

I think Kat came up with a great idea! But then to turn it into 4 books, she did something weird. Every time Katy gets in a conversation with someone, she thinks all the things she should say instead of saying them. Thus, she ends up having to do ten times the work to get results. Or she waits until someone knocks her down before she does what she could have to start. If Kat would make Katy more proactive, I would have given a 5 star. Keep working on it. I think you are a great writer, you just need to fix that problem and a few past tense errors. I've only read30% of the book, but I will finish the box set.

The Academy of Elements Box Set

OMG 😱 definitely loved this series… Okay, so if you follow me you will learn that I am definitely a book nerd . I love all kinds of supernatural books, now elements… lol 😂

I loved how the series played out. I hated the characters that died… especially T… full of life
This series is action packed, love ❤️ scenes, especially when they all get warded together then it’s to funny… , I laughed, cried and yelled and there so many interesting elements.

I definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves to read….

never grabbed me

I have no complaints about the plot in the first book, but I was never completely sucked into world. After finishing the first book I took a break from the series. Sometimes if a book is intense, I’ll do that. This book wasn’t too intense. If anything the story felt a bit disjointed.
I started the second book and it felt as if the main characters were starting from scratch with their relationships. I’m not likely to finish the series. I’m returning it unfinished from my kindle unlimited library.
