When I discovered the writing of Ken Fite a number of years ago, I could not get enough. Be it a busy schedule or a pile of books that needed to be read on a deadline, my attention turned away from his Blake Jordan thrillers for a time. However, I found a gap in my reaidnfgf commitments that allowed me to return to this explosive collection. Blake Jordan has lost none of his gusto in another fast-paced thriller that puts the reader in the middle fo the action. Fite delivers another winner with this book, set on the streets of New York City!

While in NYC with his fiancée , Blake Jordan receives a call. There’s an unknown hooded man who has blown up a building and making an odd demand, the release of a prisoner from a local facility. Jordan knows the prisoner well, having served with Dallas Webb in the SEALs years before. As Jordan tries to piece it all together, he is baffled as to what’s gong on and how he can help before things go south.

While he is happy to lend a hand, there are others within various agencies that do not feel Blake Jordan will be much help. Still, there’s no time to lose, especially when another bomb goes off. Through some high-tech tracing, the hooded man is revealed to be someone who knows Dallas Webb well, though there is no way he can be who he appears. Jordan continues on his pursuit, hoping to neutralise things before they get too hot.

With the potential of a nuclear event, politicians at all levels rush to assert authority, none higher than POTUS. Still, Jordan will keep him cool and try to protect NYC and all those who call it home. Along the way, Blake Jordan learns that some would jeopardize everything for their own time in the limelight, something that must be stopped before countless others are harmed. Ken Fite offers up a brilliant piece I could not help but devour in a single day!

There are few authors I can sit and read with such ease as Ken Fite. I remember devouring a few of his early novels, polishing each off in a single day. The writing is strong and the plot is something that pulled me in. Fite knows what he’s doing and has crafted Blake Jordan in such a way that things seem to flow with ease. Anyone looking for a thrilling collection need look no further than these novels.

Ken Fite opens with an addictive narrative that never loses its momentum. The story build and the characters all find rather places on the stage, as the action takes over. Poignant themes emerge and are complemented by a stellar plot, all while keeping the backstory developing and characters seeking to make their niche known. Series fans will applaud the seamlessness that occurs between novels. While it has been over two years since I read a Fite book, I felt as though I had just finished the sixth novel and picked this one up . Pure enjoyment for all!

Kudos, Mr. Fite, for a great read. I have two more of your books to tackle, which I know will be just as thrilling.

Blake Jordan but different...

Blake Jordan is a man of character, strength and dependability. In the past, Blake has been an unstoppable force. This time, he comes across a little subdued and unsure. Not sure if that's intentional. I really enjoy Ken Fite books and this is no exception. It was good but just different.

Outstanding!

Another excellent Blake Jordan thriller...with a long-expected ending. The story begins with the reader on the edge of the seat and accelerates from there. There were several unexpected twists and turns that were unexpected while Blake figured it out. Waiting for the next book.

This is a great addition to the series. The action is non-stop as Blake and Jami try to determine who is behind the explosion that takes place in New York City, and why the bomber wants a certain prisoner released from Rikers Island. Then there is the "political" posturing that threatens to hinder Blake's ability to get to the bottom of what is going on. In addition to the main story, Blake also has to decide when (and whether) to marry Jami.

My husband and I don’t usually like the same books, but we both agree on the Blake Jordan series. Blake and his fiancé Jami work in different cities and were able to arrange time together in New York. They are almost ready to go home, when the action begins. A homeless man, dead cops, a bomb, a demand for the release of a prisoner that Blake has known in the past and it just get more exciting from there. The story keeps you guessing as to who are the good guys. Don’t plan on putting the book down until you are done.

Is Black a terroist hunter or a man consumed by the death of his wife?

Liked the plot, although after a few chapters figured out the hooded man. However, how much “feeling” must be injected into Black and Jami’s life and relationship. I prefer Christopher Rosow’s character, Ben Porter, in False Assurances, Threat Bias, Subversive Addiction, Vital Deception and releasing May 5, 2023, Epic Injustice!!

Double WOW

I thought I’d read all books of this series, but found out I’d miss the last two and this one. Read all three back-to-back — within a couple of days! I worked for the Department of Defense as a civilian for over 40 years, so I enjoy this series so much! The Thin Blue Line kept me captivated till the last page! Wonderful read. Can’t wait for the next one.

I can not explain what bothered me but it seemed that the entire plot was beyond explanation and more like fantasy. This is not a negative just a difference. Blake and Jami always seem to manage to get through the seemingly horrible and dangerous situations with hardly a blink. it was an ok fast read. I do like Ken Fite's imagination.

Thin Blue Line

Jamie and Blake are in New York when there is an explosion outside the Chrysler Building. The perpetrator claims to have more explosives that he will detonate until Noah Webb is released from Riker's Prison. A convoluted plot with many participants unfolds for Blake and Jamie to solve to stop an even bigger explosion.

Another super quick read. The plot was different this time which I appreciated. Blake Jordan was also a lot more likable in this book. The grammar and overall editing still isn’t great which detracts from the reader experience but overall I am looking forward to finishing the last two books in the series… probably tonight.

Solid winner!

Love every book in this series but this one is the best! Drama, terror and true loyalty abound in this one. Blake and Jamie are always great but especially when they are saving each others lives! Well done on every level.

Finally

So glad we had a wedding at the end. Totally enjoyed the book. As usual, lots of action and puzzles. Not sure about him defusing the bomb. But, had to try, cause no one else there. Interesting cast of characters, never sure who is bad and good.

NY ball bitter

Great job by Ken Fite depicting the terror of what can happen in today's world. Realistic characterization of the relationship between the NYC mayor and the real world.

Shaky Line

Uneven plot ... interesting in places, predictable in others. Dependable in a “by the numbers” way but nothing different or “wow” here. Like the train that gets you from point A to point B on time but with nothing to make the trip especially memorable.

Jordan doesn't disappoint

Seeing the evolution of this character throughout the series is a joy. The emotional growth hr
E has been through is paramount to his story and the author has been masterful in showing that arc

Jordan and Jami are in New York City relaxing. Then there's a situation...!

What can go wrong on a break from their jobs in Washington D.C.? Releasing Dallas Webb from Riker's Island and losing him.
