There’s no rest for the witchy on Pendle Island. Chelsea Sponks barely scrambles her way out of one mystery before falling headfirst into another. If that isn’t bad enough her boyfriend, town sheriff Deacon, has just discovered that she’s a witch.
Oops.
Now Chelsea’s boyfriend is under official magical investigation, and he’s took off running into the woods before she can sit down and explain anything. With a weekend of sulking ahead of her Chelsea finds her plans quickly turned on their head when Lizzy asks for her help at an art show.
The event? A world famous artist launching an international exhibit on Pendle Island. The attendees? Stuffy, rude, and seriously lacking manners. The showstopper art piece? A body in a box, and a new mystery, all for Chelsea to solve.
To top it all off she has a house guest that won’t stop stapling teabags to the walls, a sick cat with a penchant for drama, and a missing gardener, who seems to have made enemies with a local werewolf pack.
Things could only get worse if her mother called to announce a surprise visit…
Ring, ring!
Son of a Witch is the fourth book in the Pendle Island Witches mystery series. It’s light-hearted, clean, and may contain a sassy animal or two.

And entertaining supernatural cozy mystery series. A great cast of characters and a fun and entertaining storyline. Chelsea move back to an island off the West Coast of America where she was born. Her mother took her and left the island when she was a baby and never looked back. A family member passed away and left some thing in her will to Chelsea. She is soon to find out that she has a Big old house an inherited gardener and a cat that talks. She also finds out that she is actually a witch. After meeting some of her extended family life begins on the island. She has a knack for solving mysteries which comes in handy when she keeps finding bodies everywhere. Follow long as she sells murder mysteries and other crimes in an entertaining and sometimes haphazard way.
So much of this series is ridiculous without being funny. The cases are weak and rushed, the characters stereotypes and the pacing, despite the try to let things happen bang after bang rather slow. Here we had three mysteries to solve, which Chelsea of course did while everyone else, especially the police, is in awe of her. It gets boring fast. The side characters are reduced to slap stick, which is maybe funny once but not all the time. Yeah. I simply don’t enjoy this one.
Woah, I hit the end and about flipped! This story was awesome from beginning to end, but that end was just...wow! I did not see that coming! Not to mention the other murder mysteries that were solved this time around were tricky too. Very fun!

The one thing that I love about this series is the fun element along with the mystery and thrill. I love Chelsea's next door personality, her refreshing honesty of who she is as an individual and who she's not.

The premise of the story was cute initially, but it's beginning to need more. There isn't any show of progress in Chelsea's magic. She is the only one that seems able to figure anything out in the murders - despite the police supposedly looking into them too. Now Deacon wants her to get more involved? Maybe one more book before putting this on hiatus.
I enjoyed this read it’s well written and flowed easily throughout the pages. The characters are engaging and well developed which kept me entertained.

Good read. Very well done with well developed characters And the surprises meet coming even mommy dearest has threatened to come home things are crazy enough but throw in two murders and an angry shifter Klan makes for a worthy adventure
Great reading! You have laughs, romance and mystery what more can you ask for !! Lot’s of unforeseen turns! Love the fourth book as well as the other three ..
This is a well written and has well developed/loveable characters. Very well told story and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!
When humans find out about the paranormal, inadvertently or otherwise, the MCI (Magical Crimes Investigation) get involved and if they find the human cannot keep that a secret, they blank them. They erase their memories of the fact, which is not going to be a good thing if your boyfriend is at risk. Nor if he is the sheriff in town. Nor if you had planned to tell him anyway, especially when things were beginning to look like it could get serious between you. Nor if he rushes off when you are knee deep in werewolf problems. And then there's also the murder.....
I love Pendle Island where there is no end of fun and adventure, where things happen almost non stop! Fast paced with several problems to juggle, this is a read that will keep you engrossed for some while. Hard to stop turning the pages, so 5 stars no less.
