This book is genuinely the most interesting and different property investing book I have read in the last 5 years. I had money to invest, but the residential property market is just too expensive to invest in currently. This offers a terrific alternative and has allowed to set up a steady side income and hopefully an earlier retirement. Cannot recommend this book highly enough!
Interesting book and provides a perspective on commercial vs residential.
Obviously biased as Scott wants to market his commercial buyers agency. However, I would’ve liked if it was less trying to convince you commercial is better than residential and more comparing the two objectively.
I felt like it took away a bit of the credibility of the claimed numbers and stats as there was a strong bias undertone. Although definitely provided value in understanding commercial valuations and how the ten year plan looks.
I also thought it was a bit eyebrow raising how Scott and Mina walk through accumulating their first few properties at around ages 23-25. Then fast forward 3-4 years and they have ~28 properties! I think there’s some special sauce in those three years which is conveniently skipped 🫣
Sharing from their own personal experience in the power of Commercial property in Australia, I found this book a very good basic foundation in Commercial property, the power of it, and understanding how you might first approach it.
It did make me consider commercial property, after others I have read have promoted residential, which I know is a more competitive market.
It was simple and clear, and the writing felt like it was promoted with a sense of wanting to share their success (able to retire at 28 years old is a pretty solid endorsement to me!). They do mention some of their services that they provide, but overall it is written to empower you to know what you need to do to do it yourself, and that their help is there is you find you need it at some point.
This book is a great achievement by the author, offering a nice and simple read. I'm giving it a 5-star rating, but with a word of caution due to the recent increase in cash rates, which might persist at higher levels for a longer period. While the case studies provided in the book seem impressive, I'm unsure if they can be realistically achieved in the current market conditions. It appears that the book primarily targets first-time or entry-level commercial investors, I looked up if there is updated version I could not find one and hoping follow-up updated version of the book that addresses the current situation would be come out soon. All the best!
Without a doubt this is most interesting book I have read for years on the topic of Australian property. Scott and Mina use real life and current case studies on how to invest in commercial property. I love how they walk the talk and share in detail how commercial properties can help you build wealth at a speed much faster to that of residential property.
The book is well written and easy to understand. Highly recommend this read to anyone who is thinking of investing in property or just wants to learn a new skill set.
We dealt with theses people 4/5 years ago .....we basically burrowed $600K to pay it off ourselves, after Scott O'Neil sold us a cooked deal....their advice and their book is not foolproof ....rethink theses people and their recent book ...we wish we had ,we stand to currently lose has our property has it has had zero growth ...so don' believe this read !!!!
