Level Up! #3

Boss Fight

Rate this book
It's time for a boss fight!

When the world's number one hero comes to Sam and his team of heroes-in-training with dire news of a secret villain group that threatens the whole world, it's time to Level Up like never before. The difficulty level has been turned up to hardcore mode, but if Sam can just get enough levels and complete enough quests, he might just have a chance to lead his team to victory and save the world.

That is, if the terrible truth behind the villains doesn't break the game entirely.

Warning: This book contains awesome super powers, hot women, sex scenes, collapsing buildings, strange gadgets, crazy power leveling, and the ability to become the strongest person the universe has ever seen. That’s right, we said universe.

Storyline started ok but lost credibility and became non-believable

I know that the MC has leveled up quite a bit & has shadow teleportation & quicksand but that cant let him swim hundreds of miles in 15 minutes then fight (and win) a melee with the villains. The council are a pack of fools. If they are unwilling to fight for their lives then they are not leadership material and should be deposed immediately for their incompetence! Jaxx was beyond stupid to identify someone (the MC) he knows to be double agent, yet believe that he could turn him, then let him freely talk to his minions and then go back to his hero training academy with no oversight or real leverage. That nonsense may have been ok in the 1960 if you’ve ever seen the man from UNCLE (a simply terrible tv show about spys), but in today’s dangerous and sophisticated world of backstabbing, terrorism and political intrigues, thats just juvenile.

Excellent Series

Sam and his harem are becoming a force to be reckoned with! The time in the Academy is improving all of their skills, as they grow together as a group. There are new sexual adventures between Sam and his girls as well as potential additions to the harem. The action is fast paced while the sexual exploits serve the plot and aren't after thoughts. I'm really looking forward to the next installment to see where things lead with the new ladies. Will they be added to the harem or just be a side dalliance? Looking forward to the next one!

Fighting for Freedom makes a Hero

Becoming a hero is more than learning from books in a hero school. Sam is a hero in the making and has his friends, girl friends, and other hero's backing him.
He has in infiltrate a villain organization and save the lives of hero's and citizens alike, but to do so he has to use his 'Level Up' skills. The end is a true fight for freedom!
This was another great addition to the series and I look forward to the next book.

Overall good but felt rushed

At times there are signs this was rushed and maybe even before proof readers as even though I'm dyslexic I could see parts where incorrect. The story is good but the 1st half of the book was a chore to read for me with the way it was written. Not that the story was poor or anything but the actual language used and the mistakes made. Not sure what happened but it's an outlier to otherwise great writer.

Well earned.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The handful of typos were not nearly as distracting as the issues with the previous book. Sam and friends face off against a terrorist group that has integrated into society. Who is a friend? Who is a foe? Only time will tell. The story and characters were intriguing and engaging. I look forward to reading more about these characters and their further adventures. This book is definitely worth reading.

Second Year of Hero School Looks Hectic!

Samuel Civitas, now also known as Player One, his nascent Superhero Identity, starts his second year of hero school at Ascension with his growing harem of lovers and growing group of Superhero friends and Allies. New challenges, fights, foes, and opportunities await them all in the coming year and some of Sam's allies won't survive their meeting with the group conspiring to take over the world.

Still entertaining but just ok

I liked the book but the grand plan by the bad guys is very transparent. It's pretty obvious so I was hoping there would be some sort of elaborate scene that would unfold but no. The beginning was better than the end. Also the whole harem part is getting a but much now. MC sleeps with whomever he wants and all his gfs are cool with it. Yes, it is a harem fiction but if MC is having outside relationships why isn't the gfs?

What a ride

There is so much I want to say about this book, but not much without spoiling it for you guys. Just know that this is an interesting and fun continuation of Sam’s journey and I can’t wait for book 4. There is so much that Simon can do with his main character, Sam, that this series can have 10 or 20 books and it would still be fantastic

Pulse pounding excitement!

Best book of the series by far with one of the biggest threats our Hero has ever faced, more stakes on the line.
What can you do, but Level Up! And face it head on?

Loved every second of reading this book, and the complex threats and missions as well as the risks and rewards meant a book I couldn't put down!

F*cking awesome!

I loved the quests that Sam got and that he leveled quickly. While this is incredibly cliché the last line sent shivers through my body. Great read (although i didn't care much for the sex personally)

Good fights, better common sense

Exciting 2nd year in school. Twist and turns keep you on your toes. What happens to Multiply? How does Drew recover? I can't wait for the next book!

Good

The ending felt really super rushed. Plus there is an insane gap of distance and powers used that doesn’t match. I will read the next one simply to find out how powerful the MC becomes.

I'm curious to know what challenges our characters will face in the next book, which will hopefully come out soon. I hope that Viper gets a proper redemption story and realizes just how lost she really is. I'm curious to know if the next book will discuss why Sam got his power so late in life, and if there were artificial reasons why.

One of the best in the series

Simon has really matured as an author, this is one of his best yet. I'm headed to read the next in the series and I'm really looking forward to it. The ending of this one was awesome!

Love the story

Its a great story, very engaging. The only thing that pulls me out is that Player One keeps getting more and more girlfriends.

This one was a bit more tense and fun. Looking forward to see how the characters mature between now and the next books. Solid entry
