The Collected Stories of Rhys Davies

Rate this book
In the forty-three stories collected here are tales of comedy and tragedy, tales set in the hills and mining towns of Wales where Davies grew up, in the busy metropolis of London where he spent most of his adult life, and (a few) in France, where he spent some time in the last 1920s in the company of the ailing D. H. Lawrence and his wife.

Poignant, beautifully crafted stories very much in the mould of Katherine Mansfield. Highly recommended, particularly The Nightgown. Wonderful.
