This name sounds familiar... Right? Yes. It's based on the book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, as said by the Booklet Guy. Here are some key points I got from the book- Habit 1: Don't take reading too seriously He has created a separate category of books that look boring and he says to transfer the responsibility of keeping the reader engaged completely on the author. Habit 2: Fill in the Time-pockets He has set reading as his top priority and for this, he says he reads a book while standing in the queue at railway station instead of checking Facebook feed. Habit 3: Read Random He suggests to read random books as it increases creativity. He says reading random means at all platforms including eBooks, PDFs, etc. but by keeping all distractions away. Habit 4: Get the Big Picture He suggests to read for excellence instead of perfection. He says to learn the books and get at least 3 new big ideas from them and to look for what the author knows that you don't know. Habit 5: Read and Discuss He says that passion stems out of mastery and not vice versa. To be passionate about work, one must first acquire skills required and then become good at it. Habit 6: Read and Pass it on He suggests instead of keeping books with us after reading, we should pass them to friends, they will discover something new from it, even something that we didn't get, and the discussion then, will improve our knowledge. Habit 7: The Secret Habit To know about this habit, he says, you have to become a deserved candidate. When you reach IQ 30 in the Booklet app, you'll know about it. Till then, happy reading:)
I feel this book kind of old to read, or it is because I have read too many success book recently. Many of the tips in this book sound untouching to me. I skipped most of the examples in the book since most of them are repeating themselves to verify the habit of the chapter.
But anyhow I still chose to read it because I have read his son's book when I was a teenager.
In a word, the tips are helpful, but I did not get enough motivation as I expected when I was reading it.
