I'm a Londoner, though now I live in Devon, a twenty-minute walk from the sea. I love nothing more than walking my pretty Cavapoo on the beach in the rain (well, OK, I don't object to the sun, but when it's raining we usually have the whole beach to ourselves.)

Back in the day I had 25 novels published by Mills&Boon. After a long gap doing other things I found my love of writing again, and self-published three new novels.

But I knew that to reach more readers I needed an established publisher. Step in Joffe Books. They were top of my list so I was delighted when they accepted the first novel I sent them.

This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

"Dangerous Entanglement" is a grand adventure set in the ancient Egyptian desert where the archaelogist Joanna Holloway finds herself despising the famous and cynical but very charming entrepreneur Alex Marshall who plans to blow up the very place where she is digging out ancient Egyptian goods.I loved that we got Alex POV from the start which made me really like him thorughout the story.Despite his cynical way of watching and laughing at Joanna and her attempts at insulting him i sensed he was very cautious around her.It was like he was trying to avoid her in a sense but he stumbled upon a wall everytime and just couldn`t stay away from her.It also doesn`t hurt that there is a pretty graphic love-scene near the end which i loved!McCarthy also have a splendid way of writing and delivers with sandstorms, mummies and two very head-strong characters who falls in love against their will and another younger couple who falls besottedly in love with each other.Joanna,Alex,Greg and Annette are all lovely characters and brought this epic adventure to life.
