Momentary Monet: A Poetry Collection

Rate this book
Brevity is true beauty. As such, the life of the rose is outlived by the concrete and callous nature of prose. The Rembrandt remembrance of the fragrance of spring is but a homage to the fling. The birds will sing and man will write. But at the end of night, only one song breaks the day. That is all I have to say.

This author has such a unique voice. Every poem is clever about wordplay and inventiveness.j The reader has to pay close attention not only to the phrases but to the forms themselves. The author often hints at rather than explicitly announces what is being referenced, as though behind the poem, like behind a veil, rests the source of the inspiration.

Rhythm and Flow

Beautiful poetry on subjects of love, sex, age, and sadness. The wordplay is wonderful, and I couldn't help smiling when reading some of the especially clever lines. I'd highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys good poetry.
