Lauren Dane has been writing stories since she was able to use a pencil, and before that she used to tell them to people. Of course, she still talks nonstop, and through wonderful fate and good fortune, she’s now able to share what she writes with others. It’s a wonderful life!

The basics: Lauren is a mom, a partner, a best friend and a daughter. Living in the rainy but beautiful Pacific Northwest, she spends her late evenings writing like a fiend when she finally wrestles all of her kids to bed.

What a fabulous series! The main adventure seems to be over, but I doubt. Loving the new characters and can't wait to see them develop.

Loved this series!! This time people Rowan loves are being murdered and one in front of her at what was to be a celebration of her marriage to Clive. She is devastated and furious and goes after those she knows are involved. This involves not only Hunter Corp and the vampire nation but someone who is pulling the strings. Each book tackles one of these group. We are also introduced to Genevieve a powerful witch and friend, who helps Rowan and naturally the First is there.
The best part is when Rowan is introduced to Clive's mother, there are some laugh out loud moments there. But like Clive, mom is very surprising. Lauren has built a nice community of people who support and love Rowan. And Rowan still struggles to understand why people love her and takes a lot f guilt on. But let's be honest, then we have Clive - the vampire who adores his mouthy, aggressive wife and who considers a battle of egos foreplay. Yes, the sex is quite hot and yet what you see are two beings who love each other and work at their commitment. It's not without bloodshed but hey it keeps a marriage interesting.
You need to read the first set of books, but you'll move on quickly to the next set. Now, I do wonder if Genevieve and Darius have a story in the works? And let's not forget David. So many characters, not nearly enough stories. And let's be honest Clive and Rowan I am sure have more stories to tell. Thank you Lauren Dean, I really enjoyed this series.

This is a decent book collection.
I didn't read the first books and did fine without that character & plot development. I think my enjoyment of the series would have been richer if I'd read the first stories, fyi.

It got 4 stars because I enjoyed the book and didn't have a real issue with anything about it. It wasn't an "OH MY GOSH I JUST LOVED THIS BOOK" but it was a nice, enjoyable before bed / sleep read for about a week.

Best couple

I loved this series! Rowan is my new favorite heroine and her relationship with her vampire husband is epic. Can't wait to read more.
