I should know better than to start one of Jannine Gallant's stories when I'm almost ready to go to sleep for the night. This companion/sequel to A DEADLY LOVE delivers action and suspense right from the start, and doesn't stop until the last word. Once again, I stayed up reading far past the gritty-eyed stage. But it was worth it.

Definitely need to read the first story to get a good feel for this short story sequel. I found it to be an interesting story and only wished more details on Carolina's life for the past three years, but overall I enjoyed this follow up to A Deadly Love.

Yikes! Here’s one nasty villain creating havoc in a small town where, Harley Boone, Sheriff, is in charge. Worse, this heartless serial killer may be zeroing in on people Boone loves. But why? Once again, Jannine Gallant pens a suspenseful page-turner. And I liked Gallant’s Dedication, too!
