A Love So Special is a story of Nikhil and his family. They live in Bangalore. Nikhil is married to Neha and they have two kids, 12 year old Riya and 8 year old Raghu. Even though Raghu is 8 years old, his brain is like that of a 3 year old. This is a cause of sadness and discontentment for Nikhil and his family. But they are a loving family. One day, on a train journey, Raghu gets separated from his family and frantic search for him begins and something unexpected is revealed in this search. This story explores the theme of parental love along with some thrill and action as well.

The story has likeable characters. The love between Nikhil and his son Raghu is heartwarming. The writing is easy to follow but the descriptions get a bit detailed sometimes. It's an emotional story but definitely requires some polishing in terms of editing.

Nikhil has built his life around his kids Raghu & Riya with his wife Neha. His usual attention is favoured towards Raghu not just because he is a “Special Child” but also for the emotional support he gets from him which fills a void in his heart and makes the past blurry.
A journey they venture upon turns into an ordeal when Raghu goes missing from the train. Thus begins the roller-coaster ceaseless hunt for Raghu and eventually stumbling upon some unexpected missing pieces.

Will Nikhil live upto his image of a superhero? Are the police chasing ghosts or real culprits? Will Raghu be lost to his real family forever?

Its an emotional rundown with some innocent banter between kids & their parents. I like the honest portrayal of the struggles of a family when they are dealing with a child with special needs.
I wish though life would be as generous to some kids out there as glorified for Nikhil & Raghu. Its good to read such stories when there is so much out there that is tragic beyond words.

An endearing one time read for the irreplaceable Superheroes our Parents in our lives ❤️

Our parents are our heroes. We can never contradict their role and value in our life. Life without parents is the worst life ever. They are our support systems and always shade for us. They protect us and give every sacrifice to make us happy and pleased. Parents are our true guardians. They are the real reasons for our success and happiness in this world.

So this book is based on the relation among kids and their parents.

Raghu is a specially-abled child and often leads to some trouble for himself as well as his parents. Nikhil, his father has a very strong attachment with him. Raghu always listens to him and calls him a superhero.
One day Raghu goes missing and this takes Nikhil to his past which he has been leaving behind.

Will he ever be able to find Raghu?
Will he prove himself a superhero?
To know these answers to grab yourself a book.

I loved the authentic description of how the parents have to deal with specially-abled children. It is a story full of intense emotions describing the relation between kids and their parents. The pain which parents suffer due to the separation of their kids is well described in this story. It also describes how parents are always ready to sacrifice for their children.

The title and the cover completely justify the story. The narration is good. The writing style was okayish for me. And the book is full of twists and turns.
Overall a good one time read to enlighten the importance and love of our parents.

Book's title: A love so special.
Author: Deepak Srivastava.

" At times, life gives just one path, and you have to embrace and walk on it."
~A love so special,Deepak Srivastava

Can you imagine your life without your Family? For me it's big no. Family are the only people with whom you can share each and everything. For me, family is the comfort zone, where I can enjoy being ugly and imperfect. A family protects usand sacrifices many things for us that we don't even have an idea about. How can we even imagine a life without them?

A love so special is story that revolves around Nikhil and his family.
Nikhil had a tragic childhood. Somehow he met Neha and they both married and had two children named Riya and Raghu. Riya is the elder one and Raghu is younger, and a specially abled child. Raghu calls his father, a superhero.
One day, Raghu gone missing and Nikhil's life changed as he can't bear losing his favourite child.
How Raghu gone missing? Will Raghu's superhero, Nikhil be able to find him?

The author portrays parent's love for their kids in an Beautiful manner. The story describes how far parents can go for their kids, it full of emotions and tragedies,so many twists and turns takes place which makes it a page turner. The characters are well developed. The narration is good and the writing style is simple which makes it beginner friendly. I loved the cover which attracted me the most.
Overall, I enjoyed reading this book.
I recommend this book to everyone out there!

My Rating: 3.5/5

The main theme of this book is family love, a heartwarming tale of a typical small family. This is quite a thin book for a story like this. With all those emotions & characters it requires elaborate chapters. But I'm surprised author has successfully put everything into this book. The writing style is commendable and it's written in simple layman's English, so it's quite easy for beginners.

Coming into the characters, the story mainly revolves around Raghu & his missing case. Being a mentally challenged child is difficult for both parents and the child himself but Raghu's family has not only accepted him but also loves him. And here Raghu's character is well defined. Raghu and Nikhil has a special bond. Nikhil, Neha & Riya's character are well sketched. With time Nikhil, Neha & Riya shows development in their characters, mainly Nikhil.

Though it was a good short read for me I felt some parts were unnecessary and this book has a bit filmy touch to it so some people might feel a bit uncomfortable and non relatable.

A Love so Special by Deepak Srivastava

The love of the parents for their children is an eternal truth. Our parents can go to any extent for their love towards us. Sometimes we fail to understand their emotions behind their strict behavior, but at the end of the day when you are in trouble and you need someone to stand by you throughout your journey, then these people will be your constant. A love so special is a tale of the love between a father and his son.

Nikhil has been running away from his family ever since the horrible accident years ago. He meets Neha and they fall in love. With time, their children Riya and Raghu complete their family and happiness. Raghu is a specially-abled child and thinks that his father is a real superhero. But one fateful day, Raghu goes missing. The quest for Raghu brings Nikhil to a situation where he has to choose between his life or Raghu’s life. Join Nikhil in his journey to prove that all the fathers are our real superheroes.

A Love So Special by Deepak Srivastava takes you on a journey of a family and its daily chores. The author has beautifully described the picture of a family having a specially-abled child. The best part of the story is that Srivastava has not tried to exaggerate anything. The pain of the parents, the turmoil of a father, the helplessness of a mother, the state of mind of a sister are penned down in such a way that it is going to make you feel a part of the family. The hidden treasure of the story is the simple narration that was needed for the sake of the book. The language and the writing style fit like the pieces of a puzzle.

The book has tried to cover all the minute details in order to avoid any kind of loopholes. However, in the zest to do that some parts were stretched too much according to me. The required smooth flow that was the story’s demand was impeded somehow in those parts. Srivastava, who is an IT professional based in Pune strongly believes that all stories are reflections of our lives, trapped in our hearts. There is no denying that with this book he has successfully provided us with a tale that has extended its reach to our hearts and minds. I will be looking forward to more stories from him.

A love so special by Deepak Srivastava
4.8 ⭐️

A book that will hook you to the pages and keep pulling at the strings of your heart.

Great read.
Using very simple language, the author has presented a very structured story that is packed with emotions, mostly grief and sorrow which comes with a tinge of happiness and hope.

"At times, life gives just one path, and you have to embrace and walk on it"

👨‍👦 It’s the story of Raghu and his father Nikhil, a very heart touching father-son relationship. Raghu is a specially abled child, with intellectual disability. Nikhil, his father, had a traumatic childhood, which shaped his life and personality in different notable ways as described in the novel. He is Raghu’s superhero.

The nuclear family of Nikhil with his wife Neha, daughter Riya and dearest Raghu encounters numerous challenges and tests in life, but somehow they manage to come out of it every time. However, their most happiest moment, their most anticipated vacation turned the tables upside down at them, and from there the story takes multiple turns and twists.

The family gets shattered, and Nikhil starts seeing a reflection of his past flashing before him, as Raghu is lost and they go searching for him 'everywhere'.

The cycle of life.
The distasteful memories of Nikhil’s life, the strangers who became family, the sprouting of love between Nikhil and Neha, the stories of their hardships, reconnection of lost bonds, journey to the self, the long searches, helplessness, hope, love, courage ….everything unfolds and reaches the readers through each turning page.

“Sometimes life gives us just one path, and you have to embrace and walk on it"

There were tears of sadness and joy. I couldn’t stop reading as the curiosity was something that flared up higher after every chapter, great character development with a powerful prologue.

Do they find Raghu? Is he safe? Does Nikhil prove to be a superhero to his children?

A Love So Special, gazing the cover anybody could understand the love it is talking about is between a father and his son❤️. And definitely there's no love as great as love of father for their children.

I love my father and so seeing it's beautiful cover which somehow relates to my childhood, I decided to go for it and guess what I was totally delighted by its wonderful story line and the way it was narrated.
Though it is a love fiction but it is quite thrilling and engrossing, the suspense in the story made me sticked magnetically to the book. I was in the roller coaster of emotions when I was reading this book, sometimes it puts a smile on my face sometimes I was sad.

Author Deepak Srivastava has beautifully expressed every emotion in the story and mainly about the father and son relationship.
The story revolves around Raghu who is specially abled child, he is the son of Nikhil and Neha both have lost there loved ones in their younger age and when they meet they found love in each other and become one and have two children, the other one is Riya their daughter.

For Raghu his father is a superhero he always calls his father spider man.

Riya wants to go on vacation but due to Raghu condition Neha didn’t say yes but Riya somehow agrees her parents and they went on with Raghu. But they didn’t know what will happen next as in that journey Ragu goes missing. Will Nikhil found Raghu? Will they'll unite again? What tragic will happen in their search for Raghu?
What will happen next? You have to read the book to find it yourself.🤩

I Loved the book because of its style of narration and the thrill it introduces ✨
Thank you ✨

There are times in our lives when we find a forked path in front of us and we need to choose one path and those choices are what create the story of our lives. This is what we get to see in this book where throughout the story, how the choices made by the male protagonist, Nikhil created the story of his life, finally bringing him out as a superhero can be seen. A journey worth reading!

The story starts with a prologue where we find a man who is profusely bleeding and is on the verge of death. But what he kept on saying is three names: Neha, Riya and most importantly, Raghu whom he is asking to forgive because he couldn't become his Spiderman. And through this, I was intrigued right at the beginning. Now who is Raghu, what is his bond with Nikhil and what their story is; is your work to find by reading this amazing book of love. Love in between a father and his specially-abled child.

But are there only these two characters? No. Neha and Riya equally caught my attention. Neha's determination and inner strength while Riya's development from a stubborn teenager to an understanding teenager. The other side characters are also noteworthy, because without them, this story of Nikhil is incomplete.

Last but not the least, with the rushing backdrop of Bangalore and calming yet hustling background of Varanasi, this book also portrays the cycle of love and life. This book once again reminded me that we need to return where we start from, no matter how far we go.

And regarding the technical side of the book, there are two tiny mistakes related to spelling and grammar respectively. But they can be ignored because of the well narration and words used to describe the scenes.

So my dear friends, a beautiful book of love, family, relationships and most importantly, life; is waiting for you. If you want a soothing embrace of your smile at the end of a book, please go for this book! You are gonna love it.

Thank You!

The story is quite engrossing and has a thrilling ending which I loved it and I get bored sometimes while reading it but the suspense made me kept reading the book and it is a worth reading which sometimes made me smile and sometimes made me sad.

The author has Beautifully expressed every emotion in the story and mainly about the father and son relationship and the story is presented very well.

The language of the book is lucid and narration is smooth and it's a book worth reading.

I will recommend this book to every reader who loves to reads about father and son relationship, then this book is made for you.

Glimpse

Nikhil and Neha both have lost there loved ones in their younger age and when they meet they find solace in each other and become one and have two children, elder one is Riya and younger one is Raghu who is a specially-abled child.

As Raghu is not a normal kid who learns things when someone teaches them but in case of Raghu it's very hard as he doesn't have such ability to learn quickly he takes lots of time and because of that reason Neha doesn't attend any party or get together.

Neha and Nikhil love there very much and for Raghu Nikhil is a superhero and he always calls him Spider-Man.

Riya wants to go on vacation but due to Raghu condition Neha didn't say yes but Riya somehow agrees her parents and they went on with Raghu.

But they didn't know what will happen next as in that journey Ragu goes missing.

In searching for Raghu, Nikhil had to go to that place wherefrom he once left and he doesn't want to go there but for Raghu, he goes there.

Now questions what will happen next for to know more go grab this book and start reading.

Happy reading 😊

I have always been fascinated by narratives built around parents love for their children. It is the only pure form of affection which is unconditional and not ephemeral. Since the time I watched Rajkumar Rao's starter 'Citylights', my penchant for such tales have grown by leaps and bounds and I wonder why very few tales are crafted around it.

Nikhil has been at the receiving end of some dreadful past but soon an unplanned encounter with Neha, changes his life for good. They tie the knots and give birth to two innocent children in the form of Raghu and Riya. While Riya is just like any other kid full of childlike mischiefs, Raghu is a special child and needs constant attention. May be due to Raghu's condition or because Nikhil sees his own self in him, they grow very fond of each other and can't be kept apart for even a moment. But on a fateful day, the tiny tot goes missing and there begins Nikhil's untiring journey in bringing his child back.

The book makes one really sentimental at various instances. How far parents can go in the pursuit of their well-being of children is beautifully portrayed. Nikhil's character as a struggling father can even move a stone hearted person to sympathise with him. All in all a wonderful read, which compels everyone to be nice to their parents.

Review-
How far can parents go to save their child?
The title of the book made me realize it’s an out and out romantic drama, but it wasn’t. In fact this is one of the most different and beautiful story I’ve ever read in my reading life.
So the story revolves around a specially-challenged child Raghu and his relation with his father Nikhil. Raghu feels his father can achieve anything, which I think is pretty normal for everyone. Even Nikhil had a very strong bonding with his son. But things turned upside down for him when Raghu went missing. Will he get back Raghu back again? Will Nikhil be able to handle this pressure? Why was Nikhil this insecure? Read the book to get all these answers.
The best part of this book is the strong family bond that’s shown in the book. Reading it will make you feel so complete. Another aspect I liked about this book is that the author had shown us an urgency to look after a specially-abled child’s health. Not just his physical health, but also his mental state. The characters were so neatly etched out with proper detailing.
The fictional family drama is a wholesome entertainment. An emotional roller-coaster ride. Whole-heartedly recommended.

"A Love So Special" is an emotional and heartwarming tale written by Deepak Shrivastava. The story is mainly based on the theme that showcases a true love of a father towards their children and the number of sacrifices that are being done to ensure children’s happiness and their security. The plot revolves around four main characters Nikhil, Neha, Riya and Raghu. Riya is Nikhil’s wife and they are having a teenage daughter Neha and son Raghu. The story is filled with many thrills and twists while at the same time the plotline is very beautifully set which makes it a very interesting read. The best part of this book is the strong family bond that has been shown at every instance of the plot.

The cover of the book is eye-catchy and aptly designed. The title of the book couldn't have been more apt. The plot of the story is interesting, different and emotional. It is a perfect blend of love, heartbreak, emotions and responsibilities. The language used is simple and lucid. Characters are well developed and described by the author. Overall, a heart wrenching read and I would rate this with 4 out of 5 stars.

REVIEW

A Love So Special is an intense tale of a family, who are very closely knit together and different from all other families and that’s what makes this family so special. This book focuses on parental love and the bond shared between the family members of the family.

Nikhil and Neha had started out this small and lovely family of theirs after facing a lot of hardship in the early stages of their lives. This family is all that they have got and they love it immensely. Their kids, Riya and Raghu are their world. Raghu despite being a very sweet and lovely kid, he is a specially-abled child. Having a special kid at home, needs an extra care and attention 24/7 and Neha makes sure her son gets enough attention. That’s the reason why she deliberately avoids certain luxuries like outing, touring and partying, as they cannot afford to leave their son out of their eye sight even for a minute. But Nikhil and his daughter Riya on the other hand wants all the four of them to have a normal life like everybody else to which Neha is totally against.

Raghu is pretty close to his father and Nikhil loves Raghu the most. Raghu literally thinks that his father is a superhero and he can destroy any evil power single-handedly. Suddenly Raghu goes missing and that completely shatters their family altogether because Raghu has always been their source of light and happiness. The family goes in search of their youngest very frantically but this search party takes an unexpected turn and Nikhil is forced to become a real life superhero which his son always believed him to be. Becoming a real superhero is the only way to save his son and his life. But will Nikhil and his family be strong enough to do this and save Raghu ? That’s the story of this book.

The plot of this book was totally unexpected, what started out as a simple missing case story of a specially-abled child changed out to be a completely thrilling and nerve-wracking read. The way the author had planned out the plot and moved ahead with it in each sequence was tremendously penned down. The plot mildly accelerated into this very engaging story which cannot stop you from reading it. The book follows the investigation of finding the missing child in a step by step procedure. And the book has been very engrossing till the very end. It had that kind of a power and capacity to hold the reader’s attention completely.

The way the story started and how the author described the livelihood of this family felt very real and realistic. The small argument and disagreement between Nikhil and Neha was totally akin and relatable. These kinds of arguments and little fights will happen in all kinds of household and the author has spectacularly brought about all of them on the pages of this book.

The relationship shared between every member of this family was written down very effectively. The book was surging with so much parental love. The relationship shared between a father and a son has been beautifully written. The emotional aspects infiltrated into this book was so awesome. Seems like the loving and protecting parent inside the author had made it possible to write these kind of emotions so accurately and heart-touchingly. The author also emphasized a lot on other relationships as well and that balanced the book perfectly.

The language was easy to read. The writing style and narrative style could have been a bit more better. But since the book was filled with true emotions, that balanced it out. There were few typos and mistakes here and there which could have been weeded out in the editing. These were the only shortcomings in this book.

Nikhil and Neha’s character has been beautifully developed. Both of them had a very interesting back stories. Nikhil’s was the strongest and heart touching character in this book. Though Neha’s story was very inspiring, that did not go along with the plot much. It almost felt like it was an unnecessary attachment to the plot because even without her backstory the story would have progressed and moved perfectly. Maybe that could have been avoided or kept subtle. Even her story felt half baked and stopped abruptly somewhere around the midway.

There were lot of other characters in the book who played their roles perfectly and meticulously. The best thing about this book is the relationship shared between Nikhil and his son Raghu. They had this beautiful bond. How Raghu looked up to his father and how he believed in his father despite any situation was adorable. Raghu made Nikhil’s life so much more better. Even Riya’s character was penned down beautifully. She was sensible and hopeful throughout the book. Her relationship equation with her brother and her entire family was so refreshing to read, especially when the lead characters were sad and depressed, her presence in their life made it more bearable.

The last few pages of the book was extraordinarily written and perfectly thought through. These few pages made the book so much more better than it already was. Without these few accelerated progress, the book would have been just another family drama but these thrilling and fast pacing parts were wonderful and totally worth the read.

It is such a well developed plot with considerably good characters who are immersed in a sea of raw and true emotions. An improved narrative and writing style would make this book reach a different league altogether.

MY VIEWS

I basically love family fictions which talks about familial bonds between parents and kids, siblings and stuffs like that. So I loved this book so much. The best thing about this book was it spoke about relationships at a greater level. The book was fast moving, it had the aura of an investigative novel slightly and it was extremely thrilling towards the end. It was a very intense and amazing read.

My rating for this book would be 3.9 out of 5 stars

I would like recommend this book to people who are into family fictions and to people who wants to know about the depths of various relationships. Contemporary fiction readers too can go for this book. You guys will definitely love it.

Happy Reading Folks!!

This is a story of unconditional love between a family of four Nikhil, Neha, and their children Riya and Raghu. Raghu was a specially challenged child. Nikhil and Raghu shared a very special bond. Raghu used to call his father, spiderman. On a summer day they planned an outing to shimla. But this journey changed their life totally. Raghu got separated from their family. Afterwards some unpredictable revelation came out. Will they be successful in finding Raghu? Will they be able to get unite again?

Nikhil and Neha had to face a lots of underestimation and went from different mental breakdowns. This shows the sacrifices of a parent. Although this is a descriptive yet amazing book, and it's an emotional read. Book cover is very nice and perfect for the storyline.

I would love to recommend this amazing book to all the readers.

It is rightly said that the journey is always more important than the destination. Memories of destination might change with upcoming new destinations but the memories of the journey never fade away. Sometimes, we reach a destination that is not in our imagination, sometimes it mesmerizes us, sometimes disappoints. If the end did not go as we thought but the journey is beautiful, the trip becomes memorable.

BOOK REVIEW

Book: A love so special
Author: Deepak Srivastava
Genre: Contemporary fiction
Pages: 188
Rating: 4.6

A love so special by Deepak Srivastava is a contemporary fiction having the main theme of family and relationships. The story is about the main protagonists Nikhil and Neha, both broken in their ways and have their traumatic past. But as said the sometimes, broken pieces together make a complete masterpiece, the same thing happened here. While Nikhil has faced a horrible accident in his childhood and kept running from his family, Neha has to work hard and break stereotypes to keep her family safe and secure.

Riya and Raghu are the children of Nikhil and Neha. When they both entered their life, all the missing places in their life completed. But with time, they got to know that Raghu is a specially abled child. And one day, he goes missing. The story then continues from here which takes many twists and turns. To know what happens next, do read the book!!!

The writing style of the author surprised me. As a debut author, Deepak Srivastava stole my heart completely with his writing style. From portraying the characters in a meritorious way to making the story ground to earth, the author has done a commendable job.

The story was completely a roller coaster of emotions. I haven't expected the emotional part of the story so early but I adore it. I was easily connected with the characters, their journey, and their emotions. The theme and plot overall worked well and the title also resonates well with the story.

The only thing that I did not like about the story was the last plot which I will not tell what it was because it would be a spoiler but it is my personal opinion. The plot is powerful and many ones can like it but it did not work for me. But as I said at the beginning itself that the journey is more important than the destination, and the journey of this book was so heartwarming, emotional and cherishing, that it is worth reading.

I will recommend it to everyone who is looking to read some contemporary fiction and yes, it is completely beginner-friendly.

💫This story depicts the importance of family and unconditional love of parents.

💫This story revolves around Nikhil and Raghu, a duo of father and son.
Nikhil and Neha have two children Riya & Raghu.

💫 Raghu is younger to Riya and he is specially abled child and he considers his father Nikhil as a superhero, a spiderman. Raghu is very close to his father.

💫 Raghu has an intellectual disability due to which he is different from any other kids of his age and his brain is not as developed as it should be as per his age.

💫 Neha tries her level best by meeting doctors and trying to know solutions to improve Raghu's intellectual ability.

💫 Neha is always reluctant to attend parties or to go to hill station or any other places during vacations because of Raghu whereas Nikhil has accepted Raghu as he is and spents most of his time with Raghu.

💫 Riya feels that her parents loves Raghu more than her so sometimes Riya gets angry at Raghu and she feels that her family never goes out during vacations because of Raghu.

💫 One day Riya convinced her family to go to Shimla during vacation and everyone agreed with her. Everything was going well and everyone was happy while going on a trip to Shimla. But suddenly, Raghu goes missing.

💫 The story of Neha & Nikhil past is heart wrenching!

💫 Where will the family find Raghu?

💫What is the story of Neha & Nikhil's past?

💫Will Nikhil be able to save himself and his son and prove himself to be a superhero for his son?

"Parents are the ultimate role models for children. Every word, movement and action has an effect. No other person or outside force has a greater influence on a child than the parent."
.
.
.
When you think about a love that is so special it obviously has to be that between a parent and a child. For they stand as a fortress at all times and love us unconditionally no matter how flawed we are.

A love so special is a book that reminds us about how blessed we are to have parents who love us all the time. With the evolving time,we are all preoccupied with all our work that we forget to appreciate the love ,care and sacrifices that our parents shower us with.

This books takes us a step ahead and shows us the struggle that our parent might have gone through when we were a child. And this book is even more special as the child is himself a special child.

Children basically need alot of attention and affection, when it comes to the case of a special child it become endless time the efforts, for they are always children and needs most special attention.

This book is about Nikhil and his family. Nikhil had a tormenting childhood and things started to change when he met neha. They were happily married and had two children ,Riya and raghu.

Raghu was a special child and like ever kid was fascinated by his dad and considered him to be his super hero.

One fine day raghu goes missing and nikhil is doomed. The pain that a parent goes through when a child goes missing is unimaginable and especially when the child is a special one it's even worse.

Will Nikhil find raghu ?
Read the book to find out what happens.

This book is filled with emotions and it helps us to be a little more sensitive towards parents with special children, often they are mocked and ridiculed but it takes a lot of patience and tolerance to handle the situation. Take a moment to appreciate everyone who has been a part of your childhood especially your parents ,for we are nothing without them.

The language is subtle and sweet and the emotions keeps you attached to this book.If you are looking for a lovely read do pick this one.

Book : A love so special
Version : Kindle
Author : Deepak Srivastava

When do you call something a selfless and special love? How far can you struggle to find your love?
I found an amazing love story in this book. The love story that belongs to a family. This book is all about loving family and getting to our extremes to love more.
Let me introduce you to the family of Nikhil,Neha, Riya , Raghu. They are one small family who are bonded well. But there is one different aspect pertaining to this family. The family doesn’t go out for gatherings , trips , movies , doesn’t also invite the people, friends as much. The reason Raghu being a specially abled child. Neha is a lot more protective for Raghu as his needs and demands are high. Raghu is also a soft hearted kid , who believes that his dad is a Superman. There were a few painful instances where because of Raghu the family had to cut short their party or trip. This causes a deep pain in the mind and heart of a just teen Riya.
Riya insists for a family trip which everyone obliges for , they set their journey to Shimla. An unfortunate incident happens where in Raghu is lost and the family couldn’t find Raghu anywhere.
Sadness grips the happy family and Riya understands that how Raghu glued everyone in the family. Eventually she learns about the traumatic childhood of her father which makes her love him more. They experience a strange coincidence wherein they all feel that the family should take a trip to Varanasi to find Raghu. It was more of a spiritual calling. The family then takes off to Varanasi , where there happens a beautiful reunion of Nikil’s family. However they couldn’t find Raghu. Just then they are about to give up on the search of Raghu , one phone call changes everything.
The narration of the story is awesome. The characters are well connected. The twists , turns , surprises and shocks make readers glued to the book.
What is the tragic childhood story of Nikhil that made him estranged from his parents?
Will they be able to find Raghu ?
Will the family recover from guilt of losing Raghu?
What did Nikhil get to know in that one call about Raghu?
We do read this book to know the story.

A love so special by Deepak Srivastava is all about a very special love story, separation and again fighting to get that love back! The story revolves around Raghu and his family. But Raghu is not like other kids, he is a specially abled child who needs a little more care, attention and love from everyone. We all know how hectic parenthood can be. There comes a time when parents are exhausted and they need some holidays to ease their mind. Nikhil, the father of Raghu convinced his wife, Neha for such a holiday and they happily embarked on a tour to Simla. But little did they know that God had other plans. Nikhil and Neha lost Raghu on their way to Simla in the heavy crowd on that unfortunate day and since then, nothing was the same. Will they find their baby? Or will Raghu end up in the worst situation possible and never see his family again? Grab a copy of this book to know more......

As a reader I see many love stories and special bonds written in various books but this book gave love a new meaning. I loved how the author put forward a story around a specially abled child and the struggle of parenthood. This is certainly a very unique read. The book has few hidden twists and backstories that certainly made me emotional. But somewhere in those backstories, I lost my focus from Raghu. From the prologue, the author created some suspense but the end wasn't satisfying for me. I felt like it was very rushed with too many characters at the very end! I also found one or two mistakes in the book. The language was easy but there were few hindi words introduced here and there. It can be confusing for international readers if the meaning of those words aren't specified. Now talking about the characters, Nikhil turned out to be an excellent father with huge patience. Author tried to elaborate the difficulties in learning and challenges in adapting to new environments for kids like Raghu. But I personally thought that some action or speech of Raghu contradicted the intention of the author. Overall this book has huge potential to become a great read. I will recommend this to the 15+ age group readers. Beginners can also enjoy it.

This book highlights the love of family, the unsaid bond between brother and sister who usually are on fighting terms and the responsibility of elder sibling who is bound to take care of the younger one.

Nikhil, a calm, protective and selfless father who has gone through many ups and downs in his life. His life is nothing short of risks and sacrifices, but still manages to gather strength and fight back. He is indeed a superhero who can do anything to save his family.

Neha, an overprotective, loving mother who is not ready to take any risks by taking their son Raghu out as it can harm him. Neha has her own sacrifices during her initial (Before marriage) days. Her life turns on a dime after agreeing for a trip to Shimla.

Riya, a teenager who thinks her father loves Raghu more than her. As any other teenager she also has her own wishes like, going for family trips, parties etc. Because her younger brother is not a normal child, the family avoids such social events. She recognizes her love for Raghu, after he goes missing one day.

Raghu, a specially - abled child who is the centre of attention of the family. He trusts all the cooked-up stories narrated by his father, and believes his father is a superhero. Both Nikhil and Raghu are so attached to each other and cannot live without each other.

A heart-rending book about a family, whose special child is lost when they finally decided to go on a trip out of Bangalore. For 8 long months, the family kept on questing for their child until one fine day they got some clues of the whereabouts of Raghu in Varanasi where Nikhil has his own past buried. Destiny has its own plans and surprised Nikhil with the answers which were troubling him for the last two decades. But will the family be able to find their lost child?

This book really made my heart cry, and I was continuously crying almost throughout the book. This is one of the few books that has bought tears in my eyes. Such is a family love, literally there is no love as selfless as family love and there are no superheroes as strong as a father.

My rating: 5/5

The story is about the journey of an Indian middle aged-man and his specially-abled son. A Love So Special with it's stirring story and captivating sequence of events had me hooked until the last 188th page.

It is a dramatic and heartfelt story of the life's journey of a young family man- Nikhil. His unresolved childhood trauma is healed through a series of misadventures that are forced his and his family's way and finally life comes full circle. The story highlights the issues faced by children with intellectual disabilities; the tremendous pressure on the parents and other family members of children with special needs.

The book has several strong points. The plot is unique, as realistic as possible and watertight. The intriguing chain of events in the narrative make the book a page-turner. There is fast action, where ever appropriate. The characters of Nikhil and his daughter Riya are very well rounded. However, the same cannot be said for Neha, Nikhil's wife. Her point of view mostly remained excluded. I did not like the language of the book. It is mediocre, at best, sometimes too melodramatic, and at other times the Indianization of the language is done to such an extent that the meaning is indecipherable.

Nikhil sees a reflection of his younger self in Raghu, his eight year old intellectually disabled son. During a family vacation Raghu gets lost. The family's frantic search for clues for months on end points towards the holy city of Kashi. But Nikhil has a dark past buried away in Kashi. Will he brave his unresolved childhood trauma and visit Kashi? Spanning three Indian cities and three different time periods, the climax promises long-dead family turning up alive and a terrorist attack. Read the book to find out what happens!

This is a story of struggle set to the tune of courage and hope. I would recommend this to all young adults, especially the Gen-Y.
