Dust jacket design by Charles Skaggs. Contains a bibliography of Horgan's work by James Kraft. Reflections and notes on the art of writing from a career of half a century.
Paul Horgan was an American author of fiction and nonfiction, most of which was set in the Southwest. He received two Pulitzer Prizes for history.
The New York Times Review of Books said in 1989: "With the exception of Wallace Stegner, no living American has so distinguished himself in both fiction and history."
I actually read the short story “To the Mountains” by the same author but was unable to find it or another short story by the author on Goodreads so this is simply as a place holder.
A useful resource for anyone interested in writing and language. The final chapter felt less relevant to me, but enjoyable all the same. ⅕ is a bibliography of Mr Horgan's various published works.
