This whole series was a lot of fun. They were all clean novels with mild kissing. The characters were all a lot of fun. I liked how all the characters were intertwined in one story.

Million Dollar Date:
I loved this story. It was new and different but at the same time cute and traditional. I have read so many books by Susan and she never fails to succeed. All her romances are clean, with a full story no strings left untied. They are funny and have character building. What I mean by that is that both characters learn from their situations and are developed throughout the novel. I love how there are a lot of characters but it’s not overwhelming. This story had certain points that are exceptional and make you feel for the character. It was easy to connect and understand the characters.

This story follows Abigail. She had a really bad day learning that her friend’s pet rescue would close if she doesn’t get a donation of some sort. All the dos would go to the pound and not have that sunny, happy lifestyle any longer. She also has a date to get to. On the way there, she’s crying and speeding. That attracts the attention of a cop. That cop doesn’t give her a warning instead of giving her a ticket and taking some of her valuable time which he could have used in getting dressed. Now she doesn’t have time, and she goes to her date with messy clothes, red-rimmed eyes, and a lot of dog hair. Turns out her date is that cop AND he is the person who decides where the city funds for charity could go. Abigail has a plan, to get him to give money to the rescue.

This story is absolute liss. It is captivating and intriguing. The characters are easy to imagine and a lot of fun. They both grow throughout the story. I usually like having both perspectives of the story but I enjoyed this book. I have enjoyed every book by Susan Hatler and this one did not disappoint.

The story follows Jennifer. She is an entrepreneur who wants to leave her day job and make her own business. After a long day of work, she heads over to a blind date that her friend set up only to find it wasn’t Whitewater Sushi and was Whitewater Rafting. Despite being a city girl with the only memory of nature being a bear almost eating her, she continues on the journey with her friend, her friend’s date, and her date, Dylan. He turns out to be super adventurous due to a sickness that almost took his life. Even though the first date didn’t go as planned, they go on another one. And start enjoying themselves. But they still have insecurities about their relationships and themselves.

Novel: The Date Next Door
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I enjoyed this story a bunch. The starting gives enough background but doesn't take too much time. The actual story starts soon and doesn't waste time. Every part of the story was fun and didn't seem boring or unnecessary. The characters were wonderfully built and easy to imagine. I liked how the story developed and progressed. All in all, it's a great story for anyone to enjoy.

The story follows Hannah. She's moved in with her best friend after jumping around a lot. She just got a promotion in which she has to sign a client soon or else she'll lose her job. After she moves in, she confesses to her best friend that she had a crush on her brother. Her best friend then lets her know that the guy will be moving in next door. To make matters worse, he comes in right after.

Romance: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This story was so much fun. I loved how the heroine evolved and grew through this novel. I want to read all the books in the Date series. The story was intriguing, inspirational, and exciting. It is devoid of mature scenes and language. I love how the hero helps the heroine grow.

The story follows Lucy. Lucy is done with the chilli pepper life where no man is stable. She follows recipes to the word. Then, in an attempt to cook, she almost burns her house down and meets a firecracker, the firefighter, Jake. He wants to go out with her but she refuses, instead of taking his offer to teach her how to cook.

Title: Fashionably Date
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved this novel a lot. The characters were complete and realistic. The heroine had flaws and insecurities but was able to overcome throughout the novel. I enjoyed the plot. The story developed and progressed well. All the events were connected and felt in sync. All in all, I loved this story. It is now one of my favourites from Susan!

The story follows Missy Peters, ex-supermodel turned boutique owner. She believes in the motto “Look good, feel good.” She’s been burnt by a cheating rascal who destroyed their relationship by cheating on her with the maid of honour. She runs into Nick at Courtney Carmichael’s coffee cart, the best coffee place in SF. He saves her when she is about to fall. He also saves her when she runs into oncoming traffic to save a puppy. After those two instances, they decide to walk and talk. There is an undeniable spark. That is until Nick proposes that they work together and cross-promote.

I received an ARC from Hatco Publishing through NetGalley for an honest review. This is a set of five books and after reading the first book and I found myself chuckling and sometimes really laughing, it was really the best medicine, Many are having Covid fatigue, election fatigue, and it isn't quite Christmas and a Christmas movie sometimes is nice but just didn't seem to be the time yet for overload. Along came this series and it was such a pick me up, lifted my spirits, and moved me forward in my own journey.
It was amusing to see the couples, I thought mismatched, but they seemed to make it work. Sometimes with many do-overs but they each knew there was something special there. This is the first I have heard of Susan Hatler and her books, and I think, like the books, sometimes things are just meant to be and this was my time to discover Susan Hatler's books. I was reading the books at work on break and people wondered why I was laughing and I told them about the books. If you need to get out of the 2020 fatigue, give this series a try, laughter is the best medicine and these books will make you laugh.

This is a collection of five wonderfully fun and entertaining stories that will keep you smiling and reading for hours. I always love picking up a book by Ms. Hatler. Her stories always cheer me up and put me in a good mood after having a long stressful day. The stories were all amusing and although some of the couples seemed to be a little mismatched at first, you soon come to realize they are perfect for each other. Ms. Hatler is such a good storyteller, I felt as I was in the stories myself, and that made them so much more enjoyable to read. If your looking for a sweet, heartwarming story with a lot of good laughs, then look no further, this collection is not to be missed!

I loved the sweet and wonderful books in this collection. All five books are wonderfully written and have beautiful characters. Each book approaches second chance romance a little differently but all of them were a delight to read. I think my favorite was book four. Lucy is looking for safe but falls for a firefighter. After there is an accident she walks away because she’s scared to lose him another way. Jake is so sweet and patient with Lucy and they get their do-over. The other books are really good too but four was my favorite.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. I was very happy to get this boxset. I have previously read Double Date and Date to the Rescue, so I was looking forward to reading the other three. These stories have humor, some drama, lust and love. Love seems to find these ladies when they least expect it. These couples have a lot of chemistry and are great together. Dating leads each woman to their other half, just not how they imagined it. I enjoyed each of these stories, although I think Date to the Rescue was my favorite. I laughed so hard during parts of their story.

A wonderful collection...
The characters are likable and the dialogue is witty. You won’t be disappointed...
Million Dollar Date - Serendipity brings Abigail and Cooper together. While they appear to be opposites, they’re more alike than they realize.
The Double Date Disaster - Jennifer is a city girl through and through. Dylan, her date is her opposite in ever way. He’s adventurous and she likes to keep both high heels firmly on the ground. They are perfect for each other.
The Date Next Door - Blake, Hannah’s best friends brother and long-time crush moved in next door. The two of them can finally be honest about who they are and how they feel.
Date to the Rescue - Lucy can’t cook but she’s determined to try. She ends up literally falling into firefighter Jake’s arms after she starts a fire trying to cook an omelet.
Fashionably Date - Missy literally fell into Nick’s arms. They are perfect for each other.

Review for Date next door:
Hannah finally gets setled with her best friend, after moving around a lot. Of course when the brother of her best friend comes into the picture, things become a little complicated. I love to read the whole best friend's brother romance. Plus, I loved the first person point of view, which is always a deal breaker.

These are some seriously funny rom/com stories. I loved that this is a boxed set. Each story can be read on its own but there is crossover of characters from other stories. These are a series of quick reads that have you laughing and rooting for the Happily ever afters of each of these couples. I had, previously, read two of the books, and was glad that this box set exists. It is nice to have the books in one set.

This is a collection of five Susan Halter stories. Million dollar date where Abigail is late for a date and gets pulled over by a police officer, who happens to be her date. The Double Date Disaster with Dylan who shows Jennifer that maybe she forgot to add love to her to do list. The Date Next Door where Hannah gets Blake her crush moves next door. Date to the Resue where Lucy is trying to impress this guy by cooking but falls for Jake the firefighter. Fashionably Date where Missy runs out into the road to save a puppy and is saved by Niick. These are all clean and funny stories. I thought they were all really well written and they flowed nicely. The dialogue was great and the banter really funny.

All five are heartwarming and a joy to read. You can’t go wrong if you choose any of these books separately or the box set as a whole.

This series was funny, enjoyable, with mild sexual references (kissing) for those who like to walk on the steamy side. The setting was integral to this series and although the plots and characters were all involved in this series the novels could be read as stand-alones, with HEA.

This bundle contains five fantastic books in THE DO-OVER DATE series that are fresh, flirty & fabulous! Titles included are: MILLION DOLLAR DATE, Book 1; THE DOUBLE DATE DISASTER, Book 2; THE DATE NEXT DOOR, Book 3; DATE TO THE RESCUE, Book 4; and FASHIONABLY DATE, Book 5. I have read all of these books, and they are so good that I had a hard time picking which one to tell you about. Below is a review of my pick of these riotously funny stories to give you an idea of what you’ll find in this set.

*** Reviewing “MILLION DOLLAR DATE, BOOK 1” ***
This author writes the best fun and crazy books ever! Abigail Apple was a sweetheart of a character who is full of love and compassion and wants only to save her friend’s dog rescue. Her initial meeting with Cooper when he gives her a ticket for speeding is memorable, to say the least! Now she is late for her blind date – except that when she gets there, her handsome blind date is the very cop who pulled her over! She would have dumped him immediately, but she discovers Cooper Hill is heading a committee for the city that will award a six-figure donation to a charity of their choice. So a second date might give her a shot at saving the dog rescue!

This book was very entertaining and lots of fun. The dialog was well-written, the characters likable even when grumpy! Abigail is a sweetie totally focused on her dog rescue project; Cooper is a straight-laced rigid stickler who follows rules to the letter. Can such completely opposite types fall for each other?

You will love this author’s books. They are always so genuine and capture the characters’ feelings perfectly, pulling the reader right in for a big group hug! Don’t miss this box set – it will have you laughing and happy for the rest of the day!

Million Dollar:
I love the personalities of these characters and the humor in the story. There are definitely serious parts and life lessons to be learned, but Hatler always wraps them up in the most enjoyable and easy to read storylines.

Double Date:
This is my first book in this series. I’m excited to read from a new series by Hatler. I love her short, sweet books! Oh man, such a rocky start! A big, comedic mess. it was a good hook. This might be her best book yet. I loved it so much. Great, realistic characters and a strong theme of doing hard things.

Next Door:
I am super excited for Hannah’s story. I love the best friend’s brother angle. This story was better done than I expected. As always, amazing characters. Wonderful life lessons and golden nuggets of truth in this book about accepting yourself.

Rescue:
I loved this short romance. The heat between the characters, the cooking, the comedic moments. They all blend together for a feel good romantic comedy. A great twist in this do over date series.

Fashionably:
I really enjoyed this short romance. I liked the tie ins to Blue Moon Bay. I loved recognizing previous characters of Hatler's and getting to know new ones. I liked watching these two on their journey to business together and romance. It was a fun and flirty novella.

#1 - Million Dollar Date
I really enjoyed this book.
It's a feel good, & fun romance.
Abigail, has a blind date planned.
But her day's not going as planned.
Cooper, is looking for a dog.
And his evening did go as planned.
#2 - The Double Disaster Date
This is a really enjoyable book!
It's a feel-good, funny & moving
story. Jen & Dylan's first date was
the ultimate disaster!
They're total opposites.
Would a do-over date make a difference?
#3 - The Date Next Door
I really enjoyed reading this feel-good,
funny & moving romance.
Hannah's confidence is at a low.
Her new boss isn't the nicest person,
& she's worried about her job.
She just moved in with her BFF, Lucy.
Blake, Lucy's brother, is now living
next door. They team up for a
charity golf tournament.
Hannah couldn't be happier.
If only Blake's ex would get a clue.
#4 - Date To The Rescue
I really loved reading this book!
It's a sweet, fun & feel-good story.
If you love romance, cooking
& Firefighters, this is the one for you!
#5 - Fashionably Date

I really enjoyed reading it.
Missy & Nick, had a very usual
first chance meeting.
They were instantly attracted to each other. Having been betrayed, Missy
does not trust easily.
A MUST READ BOX SET!!

Swear I’ve Read It Before...

It's never good when you read a new story from an author, and you swear you read that exact scenario before. I flipped back in the books I had read recently, and I was right. I had read this precise beginning—where a male cop pulls the heroine over and then turns out to be her blind date… and she has to play it cool because he had control over a project close to her heart. I can't say which author came up with a concept first. Or is this actually a well-trodden romantic trope? I didn't like that I read two books that were so similar by two different authors. Romance authors need to shake it up a little, not rely on the obvious. As with the author’s other books, the ones in this collection had info dumps at the start. This woman is a seasoned author, and I don't understand how she doesn't know that it's better to weave in backstory as you go along.
