When her husband abandons her after a single night, what is a lady to do?

But, Jane is not as unaware of her husband's activities in the bedchamber as he might think. Intrigued by the thought of being bound and spanked by him, she enlists the help of Mademoiselle Celine to teach her how to please her husband and fulfil her own desires.

A short, steamy story about a young wife's introduction to the delights of the marriage bed - where her husband wont join her!

Embarrassed by his sexual preferences and feeling unable to inflict them on his innocent new bride Andrew (Lord Walters) has fled from home to London. His new wife, Lady Jane, is confused by his behaviour, and although not unaware of his proclivities, uncertain what exactly they involve.

Determined to fight for her marriage across the bedroom battleground, Jane seeks help from a Madam and courtesan to prepare to meet him there on equal ground. She is open minded and determined about this, and outwits her maid, her husband, and his over-officious valet, as well as making some unexpected friends along the way.

In addition, we get a tantalising glimpse into the inner-workings of a brothel, and some intriguing passing mentions of stories around Andrew's friends (that I hope will be revisited in full).

The whole story is delightful, as the lustful husband and the lovely Jane find their way back to each other, and their mutual love and satisfaction, in time for the Christmas festivities.

SWOON... What a romantic story. The lead female character Jane had a lot of hutzpah to do what she did. As many times as she tried to understand her husband Andrew, she became disillusioned and felt a failure. She had the gumption to enlist the help of a woman to teach her the things her husband liked. There was no doubt Andrew loved Jane but felt like a monster craving the things he desired to do to his innocent wife. So, he estranged himself from her and she came to London to win him back. A plot devised by mutual acquaintances locked them together so that gave Jane the chance to show Andrew what she learned and let him delight in indulging his desires. He was shocked to see her in a provocative pose, with no clothes on waiting for him to discipline her. After that night they reconciled and Jane was so happy she had taken the time to be brave and reach out for instruction. A swoon worthy read. You will enjoy it and not be disappointed.

This is a very different take on Regency spanking romances than most I have read.

The typical arc is "reformed or soon-to-be-reformed titled rake takes new wife in hand and shows her the delights of spanking, bondage, anal plugs, etc. and she gets solidly into it". There are a LOT of books with that arc. Not at all a bad arc, of course.

This has a very different arc. Andrew is, indeed, a rake. Jane has heard of his proclivities through gossip and is... intrigued. Andrew gently deflowers Jane and then abruptly leaves -- flees his manor for London. It turns out, rather than wanting to educate his new wife in the delights of his interests, he is filled with shame at his desire to "pollute" is bride. This book is Lady Jane taking matters in her own hands to learn what she needs to know.

Quite a good and fun read.

I love it when a plan comes together!
Now I understand because there is old fashion discipline in this book it will not appeal to some but it really a wonderful story. Left alone the next day after her wedding Jane is pressured to go to London and confront her husband. What she does is come up with a plan and seeks help. In the end, two soil doves proved to be true friends to Jane. Andrew would have benefited with a frying pan placed alongside his head it really took some work to get him to understand what he needed to do. I loved the story it is a quick read but it made me smile I hope you check it out. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

This is Lady Jane and her new husband Andrew's story. Andrew leaves the marriage to live his life in London. Andrew thinks his wife is too innocent and pure. Lady Jane takes it upon herself to learn what it is that Andrew likes. If he just asked he would have known but then there would not be this very interesting book. I loved it, I loved the characters I loved the story and how it played out, just loved it.

This is a deliciously seductive read. Lady Jane loves her new husband, Lord Andrew, but for some reason he abandons her the morning after their nuptials. Jane sets out to find her husband and tries to discover what is wrong. I do not want to give the plot away but suffice to say this is a fun and unique tale which is set in the run up to Christmas. I read it in one sitting and give it 5 stars!
