The head chef at Maline Cuisine dated the second victim until he found out she was cheating on him. Has jealousy reared it's ugly head?

Annie was bullied by both victims. Had she finally had enough of their despicable ways? But why murder them a year apart if that's the case?

Dean is the current boyfriend of the most recent victim. He should be anguished but instead he shows no emotion and is immediately seen with other women. Was the victim too clingy for his taste? Or did she have something on him that he didn't want revealed?

About the author

Constance Barker lives in the Midwest with her husband and two Akitas where she can look out from her screened porch onto a wooded area brimming with activity. Since she was a young girl she read mysteries, often given to her by her grandmother. She loved figuring out who the culprit was and sometimes she was right and other times startled at who the author picked as the assailant. Now she enjoys writing mysteries herself. When she isn't writing stories, she can be found in her favorite vacation spot, Las Vegas or shopping for bargains.

Thea is at a haunted house when she meets a ghost. Thea is decides to try to look into what happened to the young lady. Thea hears screaming and hears someone has died. Thea decides to help Blaine look into what happened to at the house. Thea realizes that the ghost died a year ago that day. Thea and Blaine work through there suspects. Thea is still taking lessons from her aunt and grandmother. Thea is also thinking about her parents more often. Thea and Blaine will take a big step in their relationship. Thea and Blaine figure out the who committed the crimes and why. They both hope they can stop this person before anyone else gets hurt.

The characters are becoming more developed. You have the magic, mystery and the family dynamics with these characters. You will enjoy reading this book, it is the perfect book to get away for awhile.

Great supernatural cozy mystery series

Is a great supernatural cozy mystery series. A great cast of characters and a fun and entertaining storyline. Thea a young woman who happens to be a witch living in a small town, who also owns her own craft store. Along with her friend Pippa who is a fox shifter and runs a bookstore. As well as her other family and friends. Tends to have a knack for solving mysteries. Follow long as she solves murders mysteries and other troubles in their small town and helps her detective boyfriend catch crooks. Entertaining from beginning to end. Check it out

Thea meets a ghost named Julie outside of a haunted house. Even though she's a witch, it was her first ghost, and quite a surprise. But before she has a chance to connect too deeply, a murder is discovered inside the haunted house, and Thea is busy helping Blaine with this latest case. Surprises and mysteries await, and old and new characters are included in this Halloween mystery. So much happens in this book as the chapters flew by. Definitely a great addition to this quirky and fun witchy series. You won't want to miss this adventure!

I really liked this cute cozy mystery with a tabby kitten familiar, a bear shifter cop boyfriend, and a fledgling young witch coming into her powers more and more. Thea (the witch) owns and operates a store with her best friend Jesse. Jesse is dating another one of Thea's friends, Poppe (a fox shifter). Thea's boyfriend, Blaine, comes from a family of bear shifters and is a cop in the neighborhood. Together, they sleuth to find out who killed a young girl at the haunted house, and who killed the girl Julia who as a ghost told Thea she died the year before. It was an amusing fun read.

Each new book in this series is better than the last and I had a great time reading this one. While helping at the haunted house Thea sees a ghost. This is a first for her and she discovers that the ghost died at a haunted house the year before. There is a new murder at this haunted house and Thea teams up with Blaine to solve the mystery. The characters are really developing well in this series and I love the magic!

Two murders a year apart. A serial killer?
Blaine might be popping the question and Pippa and Jessie are now a couple. Everything is going great in Thea’s life except she and Blaine have another murder to solve and it definitely involves magic. And some of the clues lead to her aunt. The aunt who helped raise her, and is teaching her magic. But this murder might be similar to a murder a year ago that no one knew about. A witch, a fox shifter, a bear shifter, a ghost, and cat familiar try to figure out the murder mystery in their little town. The characters are well done, with plenty of backstories and snark. The clues and situations keep you on edge. The suspect lists get longer and the deceptions get stronger. It takes all of them to figure this one out. Sure kept me guessing. Now on to another story by this author.

The beloved characters have all seen changes throughout the series. In Ghoulish Magic, Thea, Blaine, Pepper, and Jesse have blossomed even more. The mystery in the book transcended not one, but 2 cases, in which Thea and Blaine set out to solve. The peak of the story was very exciting, but I do wish that it would have come sooner as I thought that there were other avenues that the story could have gone. I'm sure that the next book will be even more exciting.

Two women are murdered in haunted houses a year apart, both during a harvest moon. Thea investigates with the help of her boyfriend Blaine. Thea’s Aunt Tiegan is a prime suspect and Thea hates thinking she might be involved. Plenty of other suspects as well. Interesting read and fits nicely with the rest in the series. I’m looking forward to the next book.

Thea, Blaine and Sybil are back again, investigating a murder at the haunted house attraction. Plus Thea meets a ghost who was killed the year before there. Now we have to find out if there is a dark practitioner on the loose. I love how Thea is growing with her magic. She’s really getting good. Blaine and her are also getting closer. Pippa and Jesse are doing great too. So romantic!

Wow. Thea’s powers have grown by leaps and bounds especially by the end of this book. I felt there was something off about Annie, glad to have my suspicions confirmed. I loved this book. I loved meeting Blaine’s family, they seem so cool. I can’t wait to read the next book!

Two murders, both in the haunted house, on Halloween, a year apart. No real suspects, no obvious cause of death, unless you count magic. Which would be a real possibility, especially when there is a ritual circle drawn on the floor of the crime scene.

Thea and Co are back, looking into 2 possible murders. The personal relationship dynamics is also hotting up, both for Thea and Pippa and their heart throbs are beginning to look more like soul mates. Good mystery, with a bit of the romance thrown in. Great read!
